Yes, from 3 to 4 is a move up
:Seriously though, It's probably just a move to a newer year. I love the 3rd Gen and always will, but I had a chance to get a good buy in the 4th Gen, so I took it. Maybe I won't end up regretting it. So far I don't. Ride is much better and having more power is a plus. It doesn't feel as solid as the 3rd Gen, but time will tell.
lol jk I wish I could get a 5th gen. If a good deal would come out I wouldn't hesitate as well

Thanks for the information... It actually took me longer to watch the video than to do the actual work. I didn't get the mother lode like you did but this is what I found... they received a proper burial...

I did a little bit today... blacked out the grill and did the flares as well. Plastidip is awesome!
Basic maintenance today: oil change, fuel filter (first time in 174k, it took a while to get off), rear diff.
Was going to do both diffs and the transmission however the transmission filter isn't a stock item so that will have to wait. Also didn't have hex sockets to get the front diff...
Has anyone taken off their hitch to grind down the rust/repaint? I was going to do this today however those bolts aren't going anywhere. Apparently my impact wrench met its match today.

Soak it with pb blaster a few times a day for a couple days and try again. Either that or try getting the nuts glowing with a torch and zip them off with the impact while they are still red hot.
They have soaked in PBM quite a bit. I'll have too see if I have a torch and try that

If all else fails, cut the bolts off, clean up the frame rails and hitch receiver, paint, get new bolts and reinstall.
Drill out the old bolts?

Got the call from the dealership that the few drops I noticed leaking from around the lower coolant hose are the result of a rotted radiator. No evidence of milkshake (thankfully).
By the time they're done with it today or tomorrow, it'll have a new passenger side wheel bearing/axle seal, new driver ITRE and bellows, new radiator, timing belt, water pump, oil seals, and various timing pulleys if needed.
Should be good for a while (I hope).
