I have OME's on my Tacoma, and Bil's on my 4Runner. Totally LOVE the Bilsteins.


And as my Contribution. My 4Runner is done for now, and off for an alignment in the morning. The past 3 weeks have been a bunch of work.

Nice! Yup I have bilsteins on my 06 Tacoma and love the way they ride. This setup is a little different seeing the springs are new and its 4 coils not coils and leafs like the Tacoma so I'm curious to see the difference if any.

Finally found a clutch start cancel switch for my 98 4runner; there are plenty out there for 96-97 but they changed a few things for the 98 model.

One thing is that I thought it would stay in a clutch start cancel mode after you turn off the engine but it turns out you have to push it every time...seems like a good safety feature though.

And setup my yaesu ft7800 in as well as ditched previous owners double din for a single din pioneer

How did you mount the Yaesu? I just got an Icom IC-2730A, and I can't quite decide how to mount the control head.

Last week got a screeching noise from the front end so checked things and the steering rack bushings were shot so changed Sunday ....the noise is still there so I went to the shop we go to and its my right lower ball joint soooo went and bought a Moog ball joint and changing it Friday .....oooo and it was the original one so that's awesome lol...

Read up a couple posts in this thread and do a little research on the Moog ball joints before you put them on your truck. You should only use OEM on the LBJs, and even then the OEMs should be replaced every 100k or when there is a visible issue. Anything is else is just a disaster waiting to happen.

I initially used Velcro on the little lip part of the single din, but when in direct sunlight it fell right off, so i mounted it with the same method down near the shifter with 2 strips and it is now solid and still easy to see.

Car fax shows it was in flagstaff for 20k miles, before that southern CA.

Guys on here have had moogs fail in 2 months. OEM are only around $88 each which will save you hundreds if not thousands if the front wheel falls off.

One part I don't see is a new breather. It is imperative to change it out with a new one or your new seals may not last too long.

How is it attached? I'd think there is real risk of it coming loose when the engine gets hot. Even strong adhesive comes lose at 200+ F.

Well not today, but this past Saturday. Replaced the power brake booster. It failed without warning yikes!!. Wasn't too bad of a job, probably do it in a quarter of the time next time. Took me 4 hours.

Yes, the week before I put weather strips on the sides of the hood so I figured I would give it a try.
So far I am not disappointed, but again it has only been on for about a week.
