What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I've wanted to do this for my normal reverse lights just to get the jerks riding me to back off sometimes.
Someone tailing 2 feet behind you going 70 down the interstate? Throw the manual toggle switch for the reverse lights! That'll scare them for a second!
*Disclaimer-most likely VERY illegal; don't really do this*

As illegal as it may be I can't say how many times I've been tempted to do this and I've had a bar back there for less then a month. The only thing stopping me is the vision of them skidding off the street into a ditch and hours later hearing a very detailed description of my truck on the radio...

Finally got the new bumper mounted up, paint coming this weekend.

Washed it and rain-xed the windows. Noticed a big paint blister appearing by the cargo window gasket. Got a bunch of rust spots I need to research how to touch up but nothing critical.

Also, I found some spare led strips, so I decided to add a courtesy light in the footwell upon door open. Next I want to do it as a puddle light outside but I'll have to use something a bit more waterproof.

All I do are lighting mods I'm comfortable with electrical but I need to move on to something more mechanical. It scares me though.

When I worked at Nike for a very, very short time, I would see that ALLL the time. Ask someone what size they were "Like 8.5 to 13". GTFO.

Changed the power steering fluid using the turkey baster method. Worked great! Pump is nice and quiet now and I no longer feel the chattering in the steering wheel.

I always loved the red interior lights on the Audi I had, and after I got the 4Runner, I hated the pale/dim green lights. So a few days ago I ordered red LEDs. Here is the results, hotspots don't look as bad in person, and the color looks amazing!

My clock showed some signs of life today, but its out again, I'll mess with it more soon. Also is there a way to get the A/C button to light up red? I also put white LEDs in the map lights and my license plate lights, they turned out great, but no pictures.

Also on order, should be coming this week, are some LED dome/cargo light panels. I ordered 2 sets, some red ones, and some white ones. If I hate the red for the domes, I'll just put the white ones in.

Mechanical stuff is easy dude, its all about starting small, learning the basics and the little tricks then moving on from there. There is so much information on this forum and yotatech, etc etc for these trucks.

Changed the front rotors and brake pads. Plus put new wheels and tires on. Nothing special but that's what I did.

I drove it in a bunch of snow today.

I have a question though, I have a 1999, with the "J" transfer case. 4wd engages quickly and smooth. But sometimes, when I put it back into 2wd, the 4wd indicator light stays lit up, and the truck stays in 4wd for some time driving. Other times, it goes directly back into 2wd.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Jesus that looks expensive, lol. Anytime I priced Dynamat I cringed. What did you use for application? Just curious as most kit's don't come with the little wood roller anymore.

I did an entire car using a cue-ball to roll it into the concave's of the body. For my 4runner I tracked down a little roller from my friend who works at Cartoys. Good work though, first stereo crank and you'll be glad you did it.
