What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

In the winter I snowboard, we also are in the position to lose a lot of trails. It's mostly irresponsible drivers/campers causing it. It sucks. Pack in pack out and on't bypass the trail. Seems legit right?

As a park ranger in Oregon, I can tell you that I agree with the above statement. A lot of things got locked up, closed, because of jerks who abuse the rules, are careless, or just don't give a rats arse because they are "special". Currently we have a fire going in one of the most beautiful stretches on the McKenzie River, due to some a-hole we think flicked a cig off into the trees while on the trail. Now that trail has been closed for 2 weeks and will prob remain closed for another 2 weeks. Today the fire is only 49% contained.

For those of you who know the area, its the "Blue Pool" section of the McKenzie. From Carmen reservoir to trailbridge campground.

Got the SS 1.2 installed. Brand new coils and Bilstein 5100s all the way around.
4" in the back/3" in front (2nd perch).

Simple and easy way to mount your phone. And actually holds up good on bumpy roads. I mounted it on the drink tray. Have a choice of pulling it out close to you. You can still put your drinks, doesn't block much of the vent or the clock. And close to the charging port.

I've got these as well! I have one of my side and one on the passenger side since my fiance and all my friends use these. I've never had an issue with mine on the trail. Highly recommended.

Bought new wheels! Wasn't ready quite yet, was hoping to make mine last until next spring, but when I brought the truck in to look at why one of them was leaking air it turned out it was failing from the inside out. So, decided to replace all four. (Old tires were Bridgestone Dueller AT2, bought brand new in Scottsdale in 2013)
Went with Hercules Terra Trak II which is a cheaper tire, but for what I use the truck for (forest roads and lots of camping) they will work great and have an awesome warranty! Took it right to the trail after getting them. They griped the rocks great and when we got into the clay up north they barley spun a tire. Huge difference from my last outing two weeks ago on the same clay.
My buddy in the 1990 Montero bought the same tires just one week earlier.
Its been a couple of days now and I love them!

Installed new prothane front @ rear urethane bushings. Got them from Ike's parts they have the correct front 10mm end link bushings

I've got these as well! I have one of my side and one on the passenger side since my fiance and all my friends use these. I've never had an issue with mine on the trail. Highly recommended.

I just got a few as well, have a ball mounted in the back also and at my desk.

The better ones in my opinion have the magnet mounted to the ball so you just attach a small non magnetic plate to the back of the phone so your not wiping your credit cards if your phone gets too close to your wallet.

Took the ole girl out for some play time. I had to provide my daughter with no option and by the end she was loving it! Girlfriend and her daughter went with me and had a blast. Only bad part of the day was after playing I found something not so wonderful on my passenger front tire. Guess time to buy another tire. Haha

Stuffed her to the gills and took her to 11,000ft. Started pouring on the trail and rained almost nonstop for Friday and Saturday... the trail just got worse and worse as I ascended. No tire spin or anything, but rocks were way more exposed. Poor overloaded beast. Hate to say it but I think she's going to be a true trail rig only, with only dogs+passengers, no gear. Need a third vehicle now to tow my pop-up camper and still get me off the beaten path.. 8cyl mandatory. Weight + elevation + oversized tires + 255k... can't go on forever.

Greased u joints and driveshaft. Pulled spare tire and had valve stem replaced, it had a real slow leak. Ordered eBay center console double cup holder. Almost pulled the trigger on oem lbj kit. Gotta prep front end for new shoes...

Havnt been around for a while, I started a new job and have been out straight. Got to the shop last night and did a little work on the rack though. Made the feet to mount to the rails and now I just need to burn it all together and paint.

They can, but requires more innovation and that stupid green stuff they say grows on trees but I have never seen it except from working my butt off. But I know what your saying, my last overland trip made me really think about the future and longevity of everything. But it is paid off...haha
