Today I had a cargo space full of my old parts! I got these from the dismantler today after waiting a few weeks. Apparently I had one of the worst trucks that they have had to take apart due to the rust. Now, I get to clean most of the parts for reuse, and probably try to sell a couple things. Here's a list of all that I got back (besides what I took off before I sold it to the dismantler):

• Coilovers
• Rear shocks and coils
• Sliders
• Front brake rotors, calipers, and all SS braided lines
• CV axles
• UCAs

Very nice but I am really impressed that all you needed was a crescent wrench (sometimes called a Kentucky Fix All) to complete the work.

well I did also use a 19mm and 17mm to remove the nuts and bolts from the control arms lol :cheers:

Brand, where were they bought? Price if you don't mind?

Got them from Front Range Off Road Fabrication in CO. about $540 shipped. Super high quality.

I already had an adjustable panhard bar so I didn't get the full kit for $605

one of the things I really like is that the tube itself is threaded and not a bung. Also all my stock hardware (nuts and bolts) were reused so it was literally a remove old and put in new process.

Is this in regards to my post? If so, my sliders are not bolted on. They used a plasma cutter to cut through the welds and get them off. I am unaware of any bolt-on sliders for this generation of 4Runner...but I haven't looked into them. The sliders that I have are from Richard over at Stubb's Welding.

Definitely! I am still waiting for a few key parts to come in the mail, but they should be arriving in the next few weeks. Let's just say the suspension is getting an overhaul... :spy:

It's kind of ironic then, I took my 4Runner to my local Toyota dealership for an oil change and inspection (since I just purchased it used) and the one "red" point on the report was that they wanted to check my front suspension

You can always renew it without upgrading. In fact, that's a great idea. The shocks and lower ball joints are probably worn and due for a replacement

Thanks for the advise Isaiah. I didn't know the stock suspension was worth renewing over upgrading.

Replaced the aftermarket starter a previous owner put on with a Denso! The contacts were almost completely gone, and was starting to have intermittent starting issues.

Really wish I could of just replaced the contacts on the a original Toyota one. I tried taking it out over the Rack & Pinion but if you have a automatic the dip stick makes this impossible. Ended up coming out right where I took the picture

I might have to do this too. It takes a good 5-8 chugs to get it to start. I checked the PO's maintenance records and they had a reman installed not that long ago.

Using Glasurit UV primer. I have a decent amount of trash in it so I'll sand that out tomorrow or most likely Friday so hopefully paint and clear on Saturday

The picture scared me a second. I thought that there might be a ghost that you captured to the right of your bumper! Then I remembered this rare effect that I recalled that happened when the sun was visible with the naked eye where an outline of the thing that the sun was shining upon would cast something called a, "shadow"!! We haven't seen anything close to that in this part of the world in a long.... time....

We haven't had winter yet, 1 snow that melted by noon and about 4 cold days. I expect our winter to hit about April 1st and we get snow and ice for a couple of weeks then. It's supposed to be in the 80's and 90's this weekend but I know we are still due winter weather.

Oh and thank you I'm trying to get this thing looking good

I'm one of the *******s that usually gets what I want. We'll see with this one, it's gonna be tight. I can only give it 1 hour after work before I get the stink eye from the wife. lol

Lights, switches, relays, firewall pass through, and some acrylic will be here tomorrow. Welder lined up for Saturday to weld the frame rail end caps up. It's gonna come down to if the welder actually shows. I've been having zero luck with those guys that past 3 months. I still have my Stubbs sliders sitting on my garage floor. Wish for a few 28 hour days for me.

Wrapped up the HID projector retrofit on my sons truck. The original drivers side light was chipped and filling with water.

I chose Acme super H1 from TRS as the best compromise between cost and performance. Also, new Depo headlights, since the one was ruined, glass and bowl.

Came out looking and performing well

Since I don't smoke, I lined my front ashtray with red felt and turned it into a coin tray. The ashtray has a light in the top so I drilled the light hole out a bit larger so I get more illumination at night. I know, stupid and silly, but the 4Runner does not have any good storage areas for coins.

How many coins do you need to store? The '99+ console lid upper compartment has a coin holder area...
