got an alignment today after the lift, i was less than a 1/16" out on my custom panhard drop bracket that i made -pretty damn good for the ol eye ball if you ask me. now its time to wheel this thing!

I know this sounds stupid.... but are you sure you didn't put the new filter in backwards? Buddy I worked with in a shop did that by mistake and spent all day looking for other problems swearing the filter was in right (We found out otherwise after he went home)

yeah, that was my first thought too. i double checked it and its properly orientated. the old filter wasnt that old and the filter itself was that dirty on the inside so im fairly sure that the fuel pump has been the cause of the sputtering all along, i just was hoping it might have been the filter

The stuff above never dries out, hardens, etc. even when exposed to water.

Good lithium grease will work as well.

Just have the window rolled down a 1/3 of the way to make it easier to get to the tracks.

So today I decided to tackle my contaminated wheels! Seems as though, after driving the truck on my dad's dirt road in the rain, and leaving the mud sit on the wheels for a few days, the wheels had become contaminated!

Even after a thorough wash, with some strong wheel cleaner, they looked like this!

What a PITA! I ran out of my Autosol, so ran to the local parts store and picked up a bottle of Mother's Wheel Polish to try and buff that crap off!

After about an hour, I got all 4 wheels looking like this:

It's not perfect, but will do for now. I'm going to pick up another tube of Autosol next time I drive by the store, and give them another go!

looks good fightman. do you polish those out by hand or do you have like a drill/air tool attachment? I've never really enjoyed polishing out aluminum but man does it look good once you get it done.

by the way im going to be just a stones throw from your neck of the woods this weekend. I'll be in geneva, NY. In case you were wondering, in my head, your neck of the woods means all of canada.
I'm only up for a weekend but i plan to return in the next couple weeks with a passport. I've never been to canada so i think i have to at least go drive around or camp for a night somewhere, just for the hell of it.

New Plugs and Wires

New NGK Plugs and Blue NGK Wires...runs beautifully. Also new O2 sensor to remove the P1135 CEL code. Think the new plugs were warranted? Lst done at 87k miles...153k now.

I installed my Hella Supertones(for those oh **** moments when you get cut off and want to make sure they hear you!).

Should be doing an oil change and spark plugs tomorrow!

Here are some pictures of the super tones. I love them.

What they look like.

A little hard to see, but look through the grill and you should see the red frame of the horns. These are rated at 118 decibels I believe.

What model is that? and where'd you get it?

it's an Ouku 7" touch screen, has iPod Cable and controls, Blue Tooth, DVD, Radio w/ RDS feature, and had a USB input. I had to do a lil trimming on the dash molding but the stock radio backets fit perfectly onto it. I got it from Hi5Wholesale on Ebay for $150!!

Made some flares today because I could not justify $300 for some Bushwackers and factory limited flares are hard to come by. So I used some heavy rubber and an exacto knife to cut these out. Painted them with Rocker guard. I added a mud flap to the front flare and the rear one will have a separate mud flap attached to the bumper. I will have to take some more pics when they're mounted to the truck tomorrow as they are still drying. I will probably do a build thread soon as well seeing as my truck has undergone major upgrades. I may also do a writeup for these if enough people ask me about it.

Took my running boards off finally. Also took my fender flares off and re-painted them black. Got the SR5 front mud flaps in the mail to complete the new look. I, like a lot of you, wish I had done this years ago. As I've heard someone say here before, Its like an "insta-lift."
