New Rear End

Picked up a new rear end yesterday... 4.1 diff w/ locker. Psyched. The guy was too lazy to pull everything off the axle, so I ended up with a panhard bar, u/l control arms, sway bar, & shocks too. Too bad the springs fell out or I'm sure I would have gotten those as well. Donor truck was a green Highlander, 143K, no rust at all. Front end collision was the end of that one.

I did. Got inner/outer TRE's and LBJ's replaced as well.

Last night I got a key cut from the VIN. Now I have a new key for my doors, and also confirmed that it was the ignition lock that was replaced on it in the past (currently have 2 separate keys, apparently it was stolen and stripped when it was newish, in 2000)

I am going to attempt to re-key the ignition to match the door key. Has anyone been successful trying this before?

I feel your pain. I washed, clay barred, and waxed mine yesterday. Rained early this morning. It still looks tons better than it did, though. I should really check weather forecasts before starting activities.

Ordered me a new set of tire after month of kicking around what to get so u got a set if cooper ATP in the 265 75 16 should ride better that these bald mich I have now just hope they look better than the 275 70 16 I am running now

On another note my clock has been going out lately, being a cheap @ss asian, i went online for repair guide.http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/67508-3rd-gen-dash-clock-fix.html. took about 5 mins now it works perfect.
