What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I've seen some modified early third gen bumpers with the bottom removed. One had a thin bumper bar/brush guard that would make for a killer approach angle. Look around a bit with google images. Sounds like the bumpers will take work to interchange.

My 96-98 bumper mounted to the side of the front body mount tab. Should fit on a 99-02 if you remove the crash bar like arkrwlr suggested and cut the flat plates off.

cleaned the throttle body which hasnt been cleaned since 96 aaand it made the check engine light go away thank god :banana: and tightened up the throttle cable so now i actually get this crazy thing i believe some people call it......throttle response

Just finished installing new springs and shocks all around. I went with stock stuff, but I still gained 3cm on the rear and 6cm on the front just because the old ones were so worn out. Also replaced the sway bar links. It should handle like a dream now! (heading out for a shakedown ride now)

I've also got new LBJs and tie rod ends but I didn't feel like dealing with that today.

I believe it took me about an hour and half for that. It helps to have the right tools for the job.

Put my steering wheel back on right-side-up and raised my bumper from my body lift.

out with the old, in with the new.
I decided I wanted to move more towards an OEM clean look on the inside so I Sold my 4 year old Premier unit and got the Kenwood DPX308U. It's pretty sweet, you can make it any color you want (literally) I'm still dinkin' around with the sound. The Premier had so may levels you could adjust, I had it perfect, This one supposedly has the same features, I just haven't found it yet. Love the new look though!!

Replaced both ITR's and got it aligned. The guy aligning it told me that he couldn't have installed them better himself. He seemed surprised that I actually understood how things worked.

Got my truck aligned today as well. Seems to ride better but need to drive it some more.
