What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Mine still has a slight vibration at 60-70 mph and also pulls very slightly to the right. The vibrations could be my MT's but I don't know why it would pull to the right directly after an alignment.

When's the last time you had your tires balanced? Maybe need to rotate them... When you say pull does that mean if you let go of the steering wheel it immediately goes to the right or when you're braking/coming to a stop it will wonder off to the right?

New Battery

After returning from my trip to the Northwest, my 5 yr old Autolite battery totally crapped out on me today, so I replaced it with a Die Hard Gold. I read about how everyone liked the Platinum, but I cheaped it and spent $119 for the gold instead of $219 for the platinum.

Balanced about a month ago when I put them on. It strays to the right at highway speeds if I let go of the wheel. It is very slight though.

Between driving from Tn to NY and back and forth from Tn to Ky almost every weekend for school last year I put about 15k on mine. I'm no longer in school, so that commute won't be happening anymore.

I switched out PA speakers with my buddy last night because my Radio Shack speaker was way too big to fit anywhere in my engine bay. Waiting on my mount from T4R4Life to arrive. After that I will have to get some new coax, swap out my broken antenna and pick up a 90 degree coax elbow and I will be all CB'ed up.

went to get the 4R washed for a wedding....and was kicked out! Too high they said!

I smiled and said....no worries!

I told my wife I can't take it thru car washes as it sits too high...she called me a dork because I was grinnin' from ear to ear!

picked up a second 4runner. 99 sr5 with 132,000 miles with sport hood. and the my favorite part is 4wd!!! got a killer deal on it, got it home removed running boards and swapped my head unit in, ordered a diff drop and a 2" body lift. hopefully will have time to swap my suspension lift over this weekend. heres a few pics ill post more after the lift is on.

Instead of starting a new thread, I figure I'd ask in here. I just did the plugs and wires today. When removing the intake tube(aftermarket airaid) I noticed one of the lines coming into the tube had brown gunk that was being let into the main tube. Wasn't sure if it was normal or what.

Also I wanted to pull the EFI to reset the map. Do I just pull the fuse, does the car need to be running or off.

Also hopefully this isn't to confusing. I don't think it'd make a difference but I figure why not ask. When installing the wires today, I did one at a time so I wouldn't plug in the wrong plug. But does it matter if I used the shortest length wire say where the biggest length wire would go?

I suspect it wouldn't fit. Also, you may get a misfire code but I don't know; the resistance is proportional to the length and so if a particular ignition coil pack sees something different, the ecu may notice it. Just my best educated guess.

Yes, its normal. There are two PCV lines, one in front of the throttle plate and one behind it. The one in front is what make the TB dirty. But whatever you do dont spray cleaner on it and let it drain down the hole in front of the throttle plate. It will cause the high idle issue. Its better to soak a rag with cleaner and wipe it clean.
