I installed the painted trim today:

$3.48 can of Duplicolor Satin Black paint. All I did was wash it with soap, let it dry, then 3-4 coats.

Installed fzj springs and tokico rear shocks. I had a hell of a time compressing the bushings enough to get the top nut started on the shocks.
I don't remember anyone else mentioning this as being an issue. I had to mount the bottom of the shock so I could compress the shock by jacking up that side of the axle. This squished the rubber just enough to get the top nut started.

Yup just pops off, but there are 4 phillips screws that you need to take out to take off two plastic pieces for the door. You'll see once you try to pull it off, they prevent you from getting it off unless you take them off. Takes 30 seconds to unscrew them.
I pulled from the side closest to the front of the car first, then the rear.

Columbus day project weekend
Busy weekend, but good times.
- removed factory running boards.
- swapped driver/pax seat cushions
- repaired broken pax seat motor with zip ties
- replaced various interior light bulbs
- removed and painted front grill & Toyota emblem (Duplicolor Trim Paint)
- removed and painted front brush guard (VHT Roll Bar & Chassis Gloss Black)
- sanded and painted in place tow hitch (VHT Roll Bar & Chassis Gloss Black)
- removed and painted rear air deflector (VHT Roll Bar & Chassis Gloss Black)
- removed and painted rear wiper bracket (VHT Roll Bar & Chassis Gloss Black)
I like the bumper trim and windshield base painting jobs I've seen on here... that'll have to wait until next weekend. Also getting some good ideas for painting the rims. Thanks again for all the ideas.

I bought some black FJ rims off of craigslist, but the guy didn't have the center caps for them. I found these on ebay for about 50 bucks.
This is what they looked like after I plasti-dipped them.
I'm going to plasti-dip my rear bumper, I'll post up pictures of how it turns out.

To be like fellow member Kball I bought an Autozone Duralast AGM platinum battery. My old AZ Duralast Gold had a dead cell in it but was still in the prorated period so in all I walked out the door with the new one for $90.
It is smaller in size and only comes with a three year warranty. Time will tell concerning its durability.

Went to a junk yard and picked up a pair of 231mm Tundra Calipers and rotors. Gave $140 for it all. Ordered a rebuild kit for the calipers for $13.77 from Toyota. Can't wait to get it all on. My rotors are badly warped but I wasn't willing to spend the money to have them turned since I was going to do the upgrade.

Got my 4runner waxed and picked up my [MENTION=68079]drabbits[/MENTION] roof rack from powder coating:
Now I just have to paint my cheap Ebay light bar back to black (it turned from black to gold) and get everything back on the roof rack and I'll be set!
Nice. I already see a big wolf spider in the back. I thought there was going to be little flamethrowers on the sides and in the back.

Funny you should mention that because, and I kid you not, I have another spider living in my 4runner. I tried to tell you guys, these f'ers have it out for me!
This one seems to be content living somewhere up in the passenger side of the dash/glove box area though, and I had a visual on him at one point (he's a confirmed small guy), so I'm not too worried about it at the moment.
