Changed up the junkdrawerashi grille. Loveable husbandio knew I was looking for a Toyota symbol and surprised me with one. Not quite what I had in mind, but it's growing on me.

did a Valvoline Synthetic oil change since I had some laying around, rotated the tires, greased the driveshafts and U-Joints, and replaced the air filter. I also re-packed the wheel bearings on my trailer and went over the ATV for an upcoming camping trip.

I finally joined this century and installed an aftermarket head unit to replace my stock radio. I got a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X598! Nothing fancy, but it definitely sounds a lot better now in my '97 Limited! I haven't installed a head unit since high school (about 15 years ago), so it took a lot longer than it should have, especially when I realized that the guy I lent my soldering iron to a few years back never returned it! Anyway, I listen to music *a lot* and my girlfriend said I really deserve a nicer stereo because I'm one of those guys who has a TB hard drive just for my music and I just can't go anywhere in my truck without picking a song first. Anyway, I couldn't be happier now! Plus it gave me a great opportunity to blow compressed air into everything in that area!
I also finally replaced my 8 year old (not exaggerating) Duralast battery. I bought an Interstate Mega-Tron Plus two years ago after the Duralast died at a rather remote trail-head here in CO, and Firestone told me the battery was on it's last legs. Being the guy that I am, I still cleaned the terminals with baking soda and it just kept going! So, the Mega-Tron has been in my backseat ever since, but I figured it was time even though the Duralast hasn't died yet.
My truck is a hell of a lot peppier when it starts now, and the lights, windows, and radio all see to be happier when I'm in Aux!
It's the small victories in life. Thanks for reading my rant! =)

Weekend project: replace radiator and drive belts, strip paint and corrosion/rust on the battery hold-down bracket then repaint. So far the belts and bracket are off,I'll finish the rest tomorrow.
BTW Pep Boys has a 25% discount if you place an order online (I chose store for store pickup) over $100. The radiator (Spectra) came out to $102 and change and saved $4.75 to $5.25 on each belt.

Replaced plugs and wires. Had to replace an ignition coil. went out and I was only running on 4cylinders for the day until I could get it fixed. Was not a good feeling but glad she is running great now.

Did an oil change for the first time since I installed the Savage skids, and found these:
They are the two bolts that sandwich the end of the front skid set to the front of the rear set. I've only gone 4 wheeling once with them on, and both bolts are wrecked. Looks like I'll be shooting him an email tomorrow.
