Took it wheeling so my guy could test out his new 4wd taco! Out at lake pleasant in Arizona. Saw a 4th gen and 3rd gen hauling some jet skis too!

Instead of spending $200 on a new hood I spent $11 on a can of bedliner and it hid my hail damage quite nicely. Now I need to just replace my shattered ventvisors and get onto a tranny cooler and fix my oil leak.

Pulled all of the badge except for the front and rear Toyota emblems. Also put a layer of dynamat in the front doors. The replacement speakers owned me, so better luck next time.

Just a few very small things. Didn't like my exhaust tip so I eyed up the ones on my wife's car. Ordered one up , painted and it fit like a glove. Also did some front shackle mounts.

At3 lt265/75/16 tires on order, swapped a 99-02 center console/cup holder mod in my 96 direct bolt up.

Yesterday disassembled my damaged original fog lights to make one good light and did the same with my replacement lights to clean up the lenses and hardware.



Not done yet,hitting the hardware store soon to replace some rusty screws.

EDIT Ace Hardware had everything I needed. My replacement lights already came with stainless screws (3mm) for the bulb covers, bought the 4mm screws that hold the housings together and 5mm for the height adjuster,all stainless. Also found replacement springs for the height adjusters.

Rewired the stereo. The RCA's on the amp side were all shot.:hello:

I replaced the clutch and got it all back together.

The previous owner had put in an exedy clutch and the metal plate had shattered in a small section.

Got it all back together with a floor jack and a scrap wood cradle, charged the battery, filled up after two months, and she shifts like a champ at 276k miles.

I'm so ready too!!!! I even know where the 7 bolts are lol! My gf doesn't like the idea either (she's only 5'1"), she must be working with the parents on this one!

I removed the spare and hitch today. For those interested I weighed them.

Hitch: 42.6lbs
Tire: 60.8lbs
Running board: 14.8lbs (each)

So I've removed 133lbs from the vehicle. I'm keeping tab because I'd like to know the weight difference when I go to a swing away bumper.

Only like a mile lol. Not too terrible, I just had to make sure I didn't get run over because it happened on a pretty tight single track.

Completed a 1,700 mile road trip in my loaded up 4Runner, towing a Coleman pop-up camper.. Seattle to Crater Lake to Lake Tahoe to Seattle.

Knocking on 285k miles now...

So this is what I did with my 4runner today.

Just finished changing out the rear axle bearings and seals. A two day job cut it took a while for the machine shop to press in the bearings.

This is hopefully my last maintenance fix I have to do for a while cuz I wanna start saving for a lift kit, front and rear bumpers, cb radio and roof rack.
