What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Changing the tire part is pretty easy. It's the getting it back over part. I'll end up spending a good amount of time making repairs. A nice bastard rail and internal cage should do the trick.

Your sh*tbox has inspired me to construct a skid plate for my rear air tank. Very good idea covering up that big hole.

Nice rig, hope it gets moving again soon.

Got my 305/70r16's mounted up. They are GT Radial Adventuro M/T's. Total with shipping and mounting was $660. I know they are a Chinese knockoff but for the price I decided to try them out. Jeep guys have good success with them.

Thanks, I have some rust I need to fix under the trim ring on the other side so probably will install a set of bushwacker extend a flares that I picked up 2 months ago for cheap so I don't have to paint after rust repair. Do you think it would look better without any trim/flare?

I do personally. It looks very clean. When I removed mine there was a ton of dirt grime and crap behind it.

Finished up installing my King coilovers and Total Chaos UCAs. Such a huge improvement over the 5100/Eibachs. Still need to get it aligned but it rides amazing. Big shout to A.Wilson013 for the help with the install.

Tinted my taillights and washed/waxed it. Put a new cap on the master cylinder to hopefully solve a brake issue. Seems to be working so far.

Put the rack, bumper, and winch on. Painted the rear bumper and rockers black.

Now I gotta take the front suspension apart and go up one perch on the 5100s becuase of the weight. That should be fun. (not.)

I took a picture right before I put the driver wheel/tire back on, but it's not on my phone? Not really sure what happened.

Happy to help- thanks for the awesome dinner.

What is the part# for your coilovers, where did you order them and price if you dont mind me asking? I have been in the hunt for the King coilovers, theres a part # on their site, but I cant find anyone that carries it. Thanks.

Ground out the rust that was starting right et the bottom on one of the wheel wells. Applied rust converter and self etching primer to protect, then parked the 4runner in the garage so keep it dry. Will appy two costs of millennium silver and two coats of clear next.

Spray bombed my SR5 fender flares with Duplicolor black bumper paint.

I bought mine used but in excellent condition off a Tacoma World member. They are actually the ones specifically for the Tacoma(thought the 4Runner would be the same exact ones, but they aren't). They fit with no issues though. 25001-151 is the part number for the Tacoma ones, the 4Runner # is 25001-333. Looks like you can get them new from Down South Motorsports for around a G.

Yeah per usual, I forgot to take pictures throughout the process. The main reason I don't have a build thread.

New PCV and pulled the MAF sensor out to give it a good spray-down with cleaner. Figured it could use just a little freshening up at 148k miles as I'm not entirely sure if the original owner ever did either of them. :thumb3:

What pads/rotors did you go with?
I need to start shopping around for some for my SR5. :yo:

I actually used Wearever brand (I think it's Advanced Auto's house brand). I was able to get Pads and Rotors for under $90. I placed two separate orders and used a 35% and 30% discount code to gather the most savings. It came in handy when I unexpectedly needed $160 worth of calipers, which were just Duralast Remanufactured from Autozone.

My pads were rated 'Severe Duty', and are stated for use on fleet vehicles/cruisers. I know everyone around here swears by upgrading for Tundra brakes, but it just wasn't financially feasible for me, nor did I find it necessary. These 'Severe Duty' pads will probably do the trick.

In total I spent ~$250, including 2 cans of Brakleen and Brake Fluid for bleeding.

Ok, I appreciate that, yeah. The part numbers I am tracking are 25001-333, and 25001-334 for the rear shocks. I have been looking EVERYWHERE to try to find somewhere to buy them. Not even Kings website sells them right now. Its a little aggravating.

Not necessary to remove fender well if you just need to tighten antina.
but I found that out after the fact.

and don't know why this is not connected, I have the LMT ed. should have everything.
