What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

'99 bezel swap.

Defrost wiring info was tough to find. I also used the old switch just left it behind the dash like someone else did in a write up I found.

If anyone knows the wiring to eliminate going through the old switch, I would appreciate the help!

That said, if anyone needs their defrost switch modded, PM me.

Oh, and swapped the auto brake pedal for a manual one.

over the holiday week (being off of school for a week is nice, still gotta work though!) my buddy finished my full length roof rack, added some protection to the bumper, and we installed the snorkel!

Did this over the weekend:

Test fit AOR bumper, installed Tundra calipers, hawk LTS pads, stop tech lines, all new rear drums/pads, new inner tie rods (again!), new wheels/35s, SPC UCAs to fix my previous positive camber, steering rack bushings, new oem LCAs, rebuild axles with SDHQ boots, etc etc.. I had also installed fabtech dirtlogic 2.5s, but they didn't generate the lift I was hoping for unless I was cranked as far as I could go, so I just installed my tundra/bilstein back on.

Any plans to fill the gap at the leading edge of the intake at the fender?

No, just the amount for ONE of those items... they would each cost roughly the same as what I spent. I might have been able to swing something like the price of ALL those items pre-kid, but as you know, post-kid finances look much different.

I did not go full LT, but I did... despite doing my best to resist it for so long... follow you down a very dark path. You are partially to blame for this.

I'm assuming you probably took advantage of the Icon or Radflo sales and got some coilovers with resi's and CDC and and hopefully upgraded to a 700lb coil. Don't know if rear shocks are in that amount though, but could be with the 20% off. Then the Toytec coilovers you had picked up in the past will either go on the 97 or the Tundra/5100's will go on the 97. Just to get rid of the 99's and spacers on 97 right now. I could be wrong as you've been very quiet on the forum and I've seen random purchases from you on other forums.

I installed an 800w power inverter under the driver seat and wired it to the battery. Naturally, I also added Christmas lights just to show off that I wired something and it works. And because it's ridiculous.

Put your psychic ball away, dammit! You're not dead on, but you're pretty close. There's some new goodies made out of steel mixed in there too, so a little less suspension, and a little more steel.

The old stuff will probably be going up for sale, but I can't say that I haven't thought about upgrading the '97. We'll see how that goes.

Removed the running boards and put on fron mud flaps for s5r flares. I must say i like the way it looks without the running boards.
Got some Trail Gear sliders to go in in place of the running boards. Also got some cree led ditch spot lights.

Last week I installed these:

I've got almost 3 degrees of caster on each side. Never seen that before.

Then I finally installed my 99 center console with cupholders

What a difference. My wife likes those more than the control arms. It was originally oak colored but I got it for free, and finding a moon mist had proven difficult. I used SEM color coat Granite color and it almost matches. Too light but not too noticeable on the console. I wouldn't want to do much else in it though. The last thing to do is decide whether I want to relocate the switches or switch the radio bezel to a 99+ style with the switches built in.

Finally pulled the trigger on the ISR mod. The pipe I purchased was expanded too far... super cold outside so I had to use a hair dryer to get the rubber pliable enough to get the pipe to work. Took longer than it should have, but it's done!

yessir! I've got some door edge guard and black silicon that I'm going to wedge in there. the door edge seems to work pretty good due to its already wedged shape. I'll post up once I get that all squared away.

other than that gap, the thing fits pretty snug against the fender

Removed my load warrior roof rack for the winter. Now I cant find my 4runner in crowded parking lots.

Maybe I need to lift if this continues to be a problem.
