yessir! I've got some door edge guard and black silicon that I'm going to wedge in there. the door edge seems to work pretty good due to its already wedged shape. I'll post up once I get that all squared away.

I installed an 800w power inverter under the driver seat and wired it to the battery. Naturally, I also added Christmas lights just to show off that I wired something and it works. And because it's ridiculous.

Haha that's awesome. Better leave it on all month, and turn it into a tradition.

Today I also installed my ScanGauge II and some auxillary lighting on the front bumper valence. Here's some crappy pics of the work, christmas lights included.

Lol I mounted my Scan Gauge2 in the exact same location.
Changed the oil with Valvoline 5w30 High Mileage. And messed up my alignment by thinking my cam bolts moved a little and niw my steering wheel is off center:mad2:. Oh well wnwted to redo alignment anyways since we just had the machine recalibrate.

Installed the Tundra 5100's with Toytec/Eibach coils up front with OME 890 coils in the rear this weekend. Took me and a buddy all afternoon, but it was well worth it! Ride is much improved over the stock suspension

Is your 4Runner new enough to also have the rear antenna in the right side rear window glass and if so did you also add the connector needed to make it work with the radio or is it already connected?

Is your 4Runner new enough to also have the rear antenna in the right side rear window glass and if so did you also add the connector needed to make it work with the radio or is it already connected?

When I put the aftermarket deck in, I noted the 2 antenna wires. I am guessing that means there is a front and rear antenna. Unfortunately, the deck only utilizes the front fender antenna and the switch is for the (currently) functioning antenna. Have you added the connector? I looked it up real quick and saw the yotatech post to make use of the rear antenna via an adaptor. Thanks for pointing that out btw!

Thanks BoarderDave! I am real happy about the spot too. I wish I could get another switch in there but the one was really tight (up against the cigarette lighter plastics).

My 96 doesn't have the rear antenna, I've just got a switch for the front antenna.
My husband drives the 99- he did put in both a switch like yours and the adaptation for the rear antenna. Says it gets better reception when the front is down, especially noticeable as he's leaving town. He also says raising the front antenna when reception's getting spotty doesn't help that much more.

If you have a rear antenna it's easy enough to see those orange-ish lines in the passenger side cargo area glass.

I've got the adapter and both antenna's with my 97 and I think reception is better with the front down, and I don't think it helps with spotty reception either.
