Got my transmission cooler mounted an installed today. Took a little longer than I was expecting, but I was going slow and had a hard time getting the old lines off. I'm glad I did it though. Now that it's done I never have to worry about the pink milkshake again. Simple fix for a possibly catastrophic problem.
I hope to experiment with running the wires around the holiday. I am going to attempt to make the mod as clean possible with a non-destructive, robust small wire harness i.e. soldering, shrink wrap and no wire splicing. If that goes well I plan to gauge interest in a plug and play harness for purchase.
Installed my new PLX wideband AFR module after the Innovative gauge crapped out. Pretty neat unit and it was on a Black Friday sale to boot. Now hopefully I can start tuning out the horrible drive-ability issues I've been having with the URD kit. Sorry, didnt take any pictures. It was 25 degrees...

I just installed a dual DIN head unit I picked up on a Black Friday deal. Had to move my CB to the ashtray, which I kinda like.
Problem is, the new head unit was pretty deep so I had to use one of the shallow mounting points for the bracket, forcing the face past the plastic dash trim opening, and it was just barley too big to fit through the opening in the dash. I broke out the dremel tool and fixed it...but clearly took a little too much off the left (SH*T!). I know, "measure twice, cut once."
But what can I do about this opening now short of tracking down a new 3rd gen wood grain panel and trying again? That gap is gunna bug me.

New tires and rims installed. I needed a 1.5" spacer up front. I'll be putting them in the rear too.

You screwed that one up lol! I bought the same unit and had the same issue and i filed and filed until my unit fit beautifully! Finally got around to fill welding all the old trim holes. Not the easiest task in the world with a Harbor Freight 110 flux core welder, but looks better than a bunch of holes.
Before...50ish holes per side
Paint stripped away with wire wheel
Holes filled and duck $hit welds ground down
Fresh coat of paint, should blend in after some more bashing, then it will be show quality LOL
Taking my time, it's purely cosmetic and keeps mud and mousture from rotting my panels out from the inside

I would include a photo, but never found a good way to do that!
Had to enlarge the opening with the trusty Dremel myself for a Scion/Pioneer T1808. Fortunately it worked out well.
If I had to fill the gap that you have, I would find some fiberglass window screen. It's available at most hardware stores and no more than you need, they would probably have a scrap that would work. Mark where you need to cover the gap. Remove the dash panel ( again, for probably the bazillionth time). Stretch the screen fabric over the area that you need to fill and epoxy it to the inside surface of the panel. From the outside the screen will cover the gap and stretched so it's flat. Mix up some bondo and apply to the surface of the screen to fill the gap. Apply enough so that you can sand it down (220-1500 grit sandpaper) to a smooth flat surface to simulate what was once there. Mask off and paint with black satin rattle can. I repainted the entire black area of the panel for a more consistent look. Be patient!! Hope this helps.
BTW, I like the Expedition Portal growler. I've been wanting one of those myself!

I started to wash and detail my truck yesterday but I realized that winter (if you want to call it that) has finally arrived in San Diego and it was just plain cold. I'll be spending some time today finally sorting out many of the cool pictures I've taken year with hopes of posting more soon.

Talking about winter I just drove my truck from point loma to Tahoe and back all within 28 hours. Just woke up, about to add the fire stick that just arrived in the mail.

My DJI Phantom UAV us about to arrive tomorrow, cant wait to get some amazing shots with it. Super excited to take it out off reading with me and my friends. We took my friends to one of the races in Barstow and we were able to catch some of the action.
Also while on the road I stopped at a truck stop and scored this temp sending unit. It tells Mr the outside/inside temps with a ice alarm. Fit perfectly in the center console.
