Installed my XRC8 comp synthetic winch.

Picked through a junkyard looking for what ever I might find on my T4R list. There were (2) 3rd gens that had been gutted pretty well. Looked like buzzards had been feeding on them for weeks, not much left.
Pulled out a front door seal, mine was torn up from my boots getting in and out. Cleaned, replaced, looks new.
Pick out some of the little frames around the front door lock knobs, mine had faded with UV damage.
Also got a hand full of random fuses, but nothing real good to be had.

Finally put the finishing touches (hinge and carpet) on my sleeping/storage platform.

Well, I picked up a cargo cover for $25 from a fellow T4R member via CL. Really nice guy who recently picked up a Thundercloud 2001. He just put a lift on and had been doing a few other mods. He let me drive his lifted 4runner to get an idea of what his set-up felt like. Very cool.

That, and I unsuccessfully tried to clear my "P0420" CEL code by cleaning the mass airflow sensor. The search continues. At least I passed emissions BEFORE the CEL came on. Now I am good for two years. lol. That should give me some time to get things sorted.

Got the tow lights fixed. Looks like the factory box died, so I replaced it with the U-Haul 4-to-3 wire converter box for $17. Hopefully that doesn't die.

That's a pretty swanky looking front end. I want to eventually pick up an ARB bumper for all the bad parkers where I live. I swear some people park by brail. It seems to be one of the most robust bumpers out there. I could be wrong...

I like the throwback emblem.

Removed these things last night. Getting ready to install the SS diff drop and need to modify them to fit it properly. Going to clean them off first and throw some paint on them. Any ideas for colors? I've got a can of gloss red, but I'm not sure if that's the color I want.

Also found a bit of an oil drip, but I think it's from spilling oil when changing the oil filter. Wiped it all down and am going to check it later to see if it comes back.

that looks like my super slow leak, i was hoping it was a VC leak for the longest time, but it's a rear main seal leak. :ybrick:

So this is on the front diff. I'm hoping it's a VC leak, here's what the VC looks like on the driver's side.

While your rear main may be leaking that's probably coming from the oil filter during oil changes.

I found some 2015 4runner rims and 265 70 17 tires with less than 500 miles on them (take offs) on craigslist and put them on.

$400 for the set.

That's a pretty good deal and they look nice too. You could probably get almost $400 for just the tires if you went to sell them and get an AT tire instead since they are just about brand new.
