picked up some choice parts from a wrecked 02, thundercloud. absolutely clean seats except minor spot on upper part of driver seat and tails.
anyone know what i can use to remove the spot, let me know please.

I would try some sort of carpet cleaner for automotive use. I think mine is scrubbing bubbles brand and it cleaned up the seats and carpet pretty good. How much did you pay for those seats? I'm kinda looking for a new seat bottom at least for the driver side of mine because it's a little worn out after 170k miles...

I started disassembling the front end. Got new bushings all around and new upper ball joints.

How?

Well, my mileage went down to 18.9-19.1 after I changed vacuum lines due to a small leak and was throwing an engine light. Reset computer and about a week later mileage is back up to where it was. I'm also all stock. Narrow street tires etc. Every time we fill up we do the math. Recheck math. When we first bought it we couldn't get over 14mpg. Found that two plugs were loose and had misfire. Cat was clogged, replaced that.

This is our first 4Runner and Toyota. Is my mileage abnormal? I'm second owner and the guy I bought it from wasn't rough on it at all. He left a stack of maintenance slips in the glove box. Looks like oil every 3k pretty much.

EDIT: should also add that this is DD flat road 80miles round trip m-f by my wife. Mileage goes down when I drive it.

Not hating or anything, but I'm curious, what size tires do you run? I ask because when I was running stock size tires (265/70R16) the speedometer was actually a little fast (~2mph), which means my odometer was also a little fast (pretty sure? correct me if I'm wrong), which means I technically should've had a correction factor (small at that), meaning I drove fewer miles than my odometer was telling me (again not a huge difference), meaning your gas mileage isnt as good as you think.

Again thats my experience, yours could be different (and I could also be wrong haha)

I am sure it's something. We use an app to track it. I guess maybe that scan guage thing would really be the better way to track it. I have also noticed how inaccurate the fuel level guage is.

like I said never owned a Toyota so don't really know what to expect.

how did you figure out the cat was clogged? how did you figure out the plugs were loose? were they the cause of the misfire? what kind of mpg gain did you get from just the spark plug fix? and from cat fix? or did you do them at the same time?

Wife drives between 55-65. when I drive it I'm seeing 17ish.

We have a personal mechanic who did the initial inspection and he recommended replacing Cat. It had 233k miles on it. Under heavy acceleration the CEL would flash indicating overheat. Once we replaced cat that stopped.

The day I went to buy it I test drove it right to a Oreilly and had them read codes. had 2 misfires. I inspected lines then found two plugs loose. C3 I could take out by hand pressure and rubber tube.

We only use Quick Trip Gas when available.

Installed additional cross bars on top of the cargo basket on Ram much like I did on the 4runner, will mount the 100w solar panel to them (that's currently laying in basket bungeed) eventually.

Decided I wasn't going to screw around with fixing the 4runner until I move in to my new/first house - close on 5/11. I think I'll have to remove the rack for it to fit in the garage, and the Ram probably won't fit even with its rack removed, but I wanna experience car work in a garage for the first time...ever. Gotta replace axle/diff seal on passenger side, inner tie rod on drivers side, have someone yank the windshield, fix all the rust around windshield, and then REPAINT! Already have a gallon of flat desert tan + hardener + whatever other crap you need that I got a couple months ago, will order 60g air compressor for garage a few days before closing

TL;DR neglected my 4runner and decided to keep neglecting it until I move in 2 weeks. Then go buck this entire summer and probably roll it.

Would take it in immediately but since they screwed me on rentals, and 2/3 rentals I've received in this ordeal have been wimpy dodge car crapboxes, I can't let em have it until after I move in to my new house.

I'll be damned if I rent a truck to move myself in when I'm paying out the ass for this one.

I don't know what I'll get to replace this. If they offer a buy back, it seems like they somehow make you stick to buying another Chrysler product. The alternative is fighting and waiting forever. Most people who send a letter of intent to lemon seem to get offered a buyback and end up in a Hemi or something as a replacement. I don't want to fight forever, though I also don't want to support Chrysler.

I could have gotten a Tundra when I was shopping for a truck, but the Tundra sucks in the fuel economy department... honestly I just don't really like what Toyota is doing these days. I sold my 2012 Tacoma because it was kind of sucky, I test drove the 2014 Tundra and found it kind of sucky, too, and with terrible fuel economy, both using dated...everything.

Honestly love the Ram inside and out, and can rake in 28mpg, 21 mpg while towing my 2012 Tacoma to new owner from Denver to Yuma, AZ (! that's more than the Tacoma ever got alone). It's just a piece of $#@! under the hood, and Chrysler/RAM "customer care" is horse $#@!

So there's your long winded answer. If I FFW to June and can get any truck I want to replace it, from any maker, I'd have no idea what to do. Most/all companies outside of Toyota making trucks are basically pushing the envelope in all departments. Toyota prefers to change grilles and add minor interior tweaks for over a decade. I don't care about long term reliability or resale (within reason) as I'll probably replace any primary vehicle/tow vehicle in ~100k miles, so fuel economy, tow ratings, appearance, and comfort all take priority for me.

where'd you end up buying? Are you near me?

Cherry Creek Dodge/RAM/Retard in Aurora is where I bought it. I haven't had it serviced there once or been back since I drove it off the lot. It's actually closer than the two other dealerships I've visited with the lemon, but I chose the others because of service reviews being exceptional (and after experiencing, still suck ass). Cherry Creek sucked in all departments, first hand, and online. So I don't know, am I near you? 5 Points of Denver now, Aurora (Havana @ Alameda) in two weeks.

Got ya lol....went to the gas station and I've got 18.1 mpg this week ..been getting 16.7 -18.4 mpg for the past 3 1\2 month's
