Installed a pair of 5th generation 4runner rear springs and netted at 1.5" lift in the rear and a much better ride. Thanks [MENTION=116114]cf_coder[/MENTION] for the springs! And thanks [MENTION=100116]D Farms[/MENTION] for technical support.

There was a little less than an inch difference in my stock springs vs the 5th gen.

Simple swap, no rust, everything fit nicely and I would say its a viable and cheaper option to 99 talls.

Glad they worked out for you and got rid of that sag you had back there. I like the rake you have on it now. Now to get your front coils taken care of then you'll be ready for Broken Arrow!!

My Shrockworks front bumper arrived. Can't wait to get it mounted. Glad I changed my mind to have it delivered. Picking it up in my 4runner would have been a PITA.

You should post this in a new thread somewhere. People are always dying to get 99 talls, if they knew they could take used ones off the 2015's (they are new now, but in a few years there will be much more on the market!) that could really open things up for people!

I know the whole front strut won't work but the spring should, there is a write up of someone who used FJ springs on all 4 corners and netted 1.5 all around.. I'll get the colors off the ones I have to help out. These springs are easy to come by with all the 5th gen owners throwing on lifts and the FJ crowd doing their build outs.

I was going to do 99 talls but all the used ones I had access to had over 180k on them and honestly I really don't see the value in buying them new.

I did this as a bandaid to fix the ghetto booty my 4Runner had until I can drop coin on a Toytec.

I've been degreasing and pressure washing the undercarriage and engine. Removed the old rusted exhaust. Replaced door speakers and did taco whip mod. Any one know if getting 02sensors wet is badd? I have another factory exhaust to bolt up soon. Just trying to clean, rust proof and paint, before it goes back together.

Old rusted stuff exhaust from the 98 and the not rusted 97. I'll try to put the collector pipe on tomorrow. Is there anything to paint on these to help preserve the metal? I got new donuts and nut for the collector connection, do I needd new exhaust gaskets for the other 2 stock connections? Ideas on this upside down sh&t with the pics, I take em right side up:wtf::

All the spacers for the 1" body lift are in. Now off to get a couple bolts. Seems the 2001 is a bit different than the 96-01 kits.... :-/
