Just recently picked up this beauty! And decided I didn't like the chrome so below a before and and after View attachment 172841 View attachment 172842

Did you paint it plastic dip it or swap it out for a painted bumper? I'm going to paint my front bumper but don't know if paint will stick to my rear chrome bumper.

I used plastidip on the rear bumper, the license plate box and the grill the front bumper I need to replace but I may just dip it anyways, I eventually want to get the black bumper but I used plastidip on my fj last year and it came out good so I figured why not use it again

Mounted and balanced the remaining 2 of 5 (did the spare tire too) General Grabber HTS tires, pretty impressed by the low road force results.

Front brake job - high carbon rotors,new pins and hardware,EBC greenstuff 7000 pads

Painted the rear brake drums - knocked off loose rust and applied rust converter yesterday,black chassis paint today.

Today, I managed to blow up the circuitry that controls the air conditioning, instrument cluster, and reverse lights. It's likely just a blown fuse but I will investigate.

i have 1 96-98 bezel... that I'm afraid to put on (after line-x) because its not as wide...

and

i have a 99-02 bezel but with a broken key hole thingy..

i have one trick up my sleeve for when i finally pull the trigger to line-x the rear surround...

hopefully you'll approve!!

Odd request, can I get a photo of the back of that? Mine is loose and before taking it apart, I wanted to see what sort of fastener it used in the upper right corner.

Have a little misfire going on so replaced with OE plugs dual prong NGK, considering what the plugs looked like that I pulled out the the 3400, after the new plugs it run better but still had a slight shudder between 1500rpm - 2500rpm is where it seems the worst.. I'm going to get new wires also within the next couple of days and see what if that helps but any suggestions would be considered

new gauge faces on to replace my bubbled ones, got sick of noticing them! also started to touch up some scratches hopefully sand and clear coat the next couple days

Got a new battery this morning. One of these days I'll track down that drain and fix it for good! I suspect it's the dodgy aftermarket stereo install someone did. Can't argue with a new stereo though! I'm a silver lining kind of guy

Finally got around to dual tuck exhaust today!

Literally. Front one was the leaky one which caused the original owner to put stop leak in to start. Rear one was so completely caked full of the stuff that you couldn't blow it out so I had to replace it to. I've been breaking stop leak out of lines (they were crunchy and clogged) and blowing them out for months now. I also forgot to mention the heater selector valve (can't think of the technical term right now). That was clogged half way with stop leak and frozen up so that had to go also.

I used a different four letter word HAHA. It wasn't TO bad. Dang sure don't want to do that again that's for certain but like everything else on this vehicle it's well thought out and fairly easy to break down. Still hate the engineer who put it there haha

Not sure I Like it yet...the factory fender flares have too big of a difference in thickness looks un- finished....I do like the running boards off of her. She looks sleek. Any one have a better option?

Someone here makes a 3d printed end cap (no mud flap) that looks good. Maybe dfarms?
