Here's the lights. So far so good with them. I bought them for their size too. $50 for a pair isn't bad either. I did tighten all the Allen bolts on them though just to make sure. I love this rack. Best mod yet, so useful. Plus it gives me a cool place to sit!

I can't comment on their wiring harness though. I ran my own.

Threw some salvage yard '99 coils in the rear of my '96. 1/2" rake = perfect for my stock daily driver needs.

I also threw on the flares I scored for $60. It worked out great having access to two 3rd gens because it took every good piece to make one set. Now I am kicking myself for selling a set of front mud guards awhile back! :redbrick:

If you are reading this wanna sell them back? haha

Where are you heading? Sounds like some fun, definitely jealous there. With this years school work and work, I haven't been able to do any camp/surf trips yet. Hopefully I can catch one before it gets too cold.

I get you on that.. This will be my first camp trip in quite a while. My wife and I are cruising down to San Clemente (near the WSL spot Trestles). Should be decent weather.. Haven't checked swell yet, but there is usually SOMEthing regardless. Lookin forward to it.

And to expand on this actual thread.. I am pleasantly surprised at how well the 4Runner can hold gear. Lookin forward to see how she rides and rolls loaded down..

I've been able to stuff camping gear, 2 travel bags (or 6 surfboards), camera gear, towels/wetsuits/ect with a buddy, in there no problem. Handled weight okay, ride felt the same. Was able to get stuck in some sand however with all that added weight in the rear :noidea:

I'm planning a one to two week trip through the cascades starting from Stevensen off of SR14 up to Packwood and all the way to the Canadian border past Lake Chelan. Mostly logging roads on the eastern side of the cascades with some sketchy areas.

I have a few climbs I want to do along with the drive. Nothing too technical. Glacier peak or Whittier and perhaps Naches. Would like to meet up with the 4x4 group over by Naches, the Seattle team and the northern Washington guys as well. Something your interested in?

I've looked at WABDR but it looks like it's exclusively for our two wheeled friends. Looking to head out in late spring early June. Best climbing conditions and the alpine meadows are gorgeous that time of year.

Oil change,and while I had it on ramps I sanded off any loose rust on the frame and front diff then sprayed a coat of rust converter. I'll be spraying the second coat after I post this,then off to Lowes to buy Fluid Film for myself and parents' rides. I'll let the converter cure overnight then spray on the Fluid Film.

I replaced the 98 speedo bezel, key ring bezel, center dash bezel and put the center console w/ cup holders from an 02' into my rig. All the bezels got upgraded to wood grain along with all the window switches. Also put on the sun visors w/ built in garage door opener. Then I replaced the old tail lights with those off an 02' ltd. it's been fun. I feels good to complete thes mods. I'm getting better at this. If anyone in az needs help with stuff let me know.

That's not the case at all. There are some kinda tight sections, but nothing that makes you wonder if you'll fit. However, in late June the higher elevations (you go above 6000ft multiple times) there may still be too much snow to pass through.

We did the trip in August and it was perfect.

i finally got around to finishing my rear bumper. I also installed a v-band, and moved the exhaust from the stock location and tucked it closer to the bumper out the side. I debated on straight out the back, but didn't want to chance fumes with the window down.
