Holy bananas I didnt even realize that it didn't have one! Shit! My parents '95 Volvo 850 had one(I almost convinced them to sell it to me... I only kind of miss it)! Haha, guess you learn something everyday. This is my first car so everything is a learning experience. Maybe I'll mod the sucker so that it fits

Edit: After looking at it a bit, I might be able to put something together on AutoCAD and get it 3D printed. That way I could easily replace the filter.

Did you ever figure out a way to add a cabin air filter to your '01? I've got an '00 and the dust that accumulates inside is driving me nuts! I've spent hours scouring the interwebs for a modification or retrofit write-up but haven't found anything yet.

I replaced the 98 speedo bezel, key ring bezel, center dash bezel and put the center console w/ cup holders from an 02' into my rig. All the bezels got upgraded to wood grain along with all the window switches. Also put on the sun visors w/ built in garage door opener. Then I replaced the old tail lights with those off an 02' ltd. it's been fun. I feels good to complete thes mods. I'm getting better at this. If anyone in az needs help with stuff let me know.

I really need to do the dual t-case, no tranny mod! :hiding:

The dust us probably coming in through the one way vent behind the driver side bumper side. They tend to deteriorate.

Towed my ATV to a nearby ORV park. Got a pleasant P0325 when I arrived. Looked it up on the mobile device and cleared it. Came back on during the return trip. Cleared it again, came back on this morning. I don't feel a whole lot of symptoms from the active code, even towing (roughly 1200 lbs). Not happy, but it is an old vehicle. I thought my rig never threw codes. On the bright side, I'm finally getting my grill mod done along with some projector retrofits soon. Can't wait to show them off. In the meantime, here's a pic of our afternoon -

New Aisin(Adovics) master cylinder installed, new brake fluid throughout, new fuel filter, rear drum adjust, and debadged some with a quality exterior wash.

She stops on a dime now & that pedal feel is awesome.

probably not very long at all. I wasted so many hours doing the same to my last SR5. After one car wash it started to peel away. I ended up having them painted with Line-X, looked awesome and no way in hell is it ever coming off.

I put the "clear" coating on it as well. Only hand wash for this runner. Maybe that will help too. I'll keep ya posted.

It has been over 6months and still looks fine. It was a trial thing and I probably paint it w/ something more permanent next time.

Same with me, it was a trial thing. Besides, cans were only $5.25 at Walmart. Pretty sure I'm going to paint it flat black and put an "old school" clear over that. It will have nearly zero shine and still be able to get the bugs off.

That's kinda interesting because my grill is Plasti-dipped for just over a year with zero peeling and one minor stone chip. And I am on my second year with my winter alloy rims Plasti-dipped black with absolutely zero peeling.

I wash my rig weekly with a pressure washer at the town car wash and even used the de-greaser mode on the rims at least monthly.

EDIT, I should add, when I did my calipers and rear drums I Plasti-dipped them blue with Pearlizer and they are mint still. I think the first coat is the key and should be very thin.

I plasti dipped my 4 wheeler 3-4yrs ago and even after going through mesquite brush, power washers, and being rolled it's only got a few spots that peeled off. I wiped the plastics down with alcohol first to clean it and then just sprayed it on.

Ordered everything I needed for the Big 3 as well as a Blue Sea 12 circuit fuse block and a 100A circuit breaker! Can't wait to get started on this when it shows up.

Today I built some new front struts I scored off of CL for $100. Entire strut including springs, isolator, bushings and top hat are new. Used the rental tool from Oreilleys, was a little nervous at first cause of all the crap I've read but it was super easy to do. Gained about an inch lift over the old wore out stuff.
