Ordered LEDs from vleds.com - both amber for the corner lights and their super bright Triton line for the front signals. I saved at least $50 by ordering just the Triton bulbs instead of the whole kit; bought cheaper but higher output "controllers" aka LED drivers elsewhere and already have a LED-compatible flasher so no resistors needed.

Re aimed my headlights today. However when I plugged every thing back up the hi beam doesn't seem to work anymore. Lights completely shut off when I switch to hi beam. This will be the third time I have to replace the relay harness....

Where did you get the harness? Any idea what's causing the issues? Things like this are what are keeping me from putting projectors in my 4Runner. I've had issues with the projectors, ballasts and bulbs really, in my Supra as well.

I keep buying different brand names on amazon. This time I'm just going to buy the TRS relay harness. I have no idea what's causing this issue, and to be honest the whole hid/retrofit is a pain to make sure everything works the right way and all. However it is worth it to me haha

Might just be bad relays. Can you hear/feel them clicking? Does your harness look similar to the pic I attached?

Most of those yellow universal harnesses use cheap non Bosch type relays,you can usually find replacements in the lighting aisle at pep boys etc. or better yet replace the relay sockets so you can use Bosch type automotive relays.

now i need to find out what sound deadening material the little shit stole to make it's nest.

In the 99's engine compartment they like the insulation between the firewall and exhaust...yellowish tannish colored.

The dust us probably coming in through the one way vent behind the driver side bumper side. They tend to deteriorate.

This was what I made to fix mine the second picture was what came off of the vent...

I cut it from shower liner from Home Depot.

Then decided to get her some new shoes!!

Thank you sir. I'm running 265/75's being mostly stock minus a lift and rear tube bumper and just pulled the trigger on some 285/75's. I've been pretty nervous about throwing a bigger tire on there because I don't want to feel under geared. Although I don't have plans on going to a 35, I feel like I'll want 4.88's after the addition of that much weight with 285's, especially if she continues to be my DD. Looking forward to hearing your response.

Cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body. Havent noticed any initial changes. Also just placed an order for new fuel filter and air filter. All that should bump mpgs up a smidge.

i'm having issues soldering the Aluminium wires of the "Underglow LED's" to the copper wire i purchased to provide the power to them... making me very frustrated installing rock lights! :crybaby:

I've done car audio install for over 2 decades. Looms and tricks are in my blood. Add that to being a mechanic as well, and I'm not afraid of much.

Nice install. I wanted something a bit more discrete, and controllable.

As for your wiring issues. Having some Flux around, is awfully handy.

Extra flux you say? huh... i'll give it a try! those cheap Aluminium wires making my blood pressure go way too high! :mad2:
