Over the past couple of days, a little activity. Got in on the Weathertech group buy and got Digitalfit liners for both 4Runners. Great investment. Took my RTT off for the winter, pretty sad but the truck drives better without it on. Swapped out my overmatched 8 wraps for some OME 861s. Love that I have some rake back, I think it looks awesome and will hold loads much better. Thanks [MENTION=23339]mattt4r[/MENTION] hope those 8 wraps work for you.

Bar Keepers Friend and a little bit of SprayWay to keep it moist and pasty while scrubbing the windows. Takes some elbow grease but it works very well and it's available everywhere for cheap. Like anything, the more time you spend with it the better the results. Each side window took maybe 5 minutes.

When I bought the truck the driver headlight glass had a small chip/hole in it, and it had filled with water a few times from rain causing the chrome in the reflector bowl to start peeling. I picked up a new Depo headlight off of Amazon and swapped it in, along with GE Nighthawk Sport bulbs on both sides. The problem is that now the driver's side looks so much better than the passenger side! I'm going to give the Depo some time, to see how it holds up, before replacing the passenger side as well.
Also replaced my front swaybar bushings with Prothane poly ones. Had to order those after getting the wrong size from Wheeler's, but I ended up using the Wheeler's swaybar end link bushings because the Prothane's are the wrong size! :bash:
Pretty simple job though, no need to even jack the truck up. Driver's side was a breeze, passenger side there is a little less room to work and that's where condensation from the A/C pools, so it was a bit rusty, too.
It sounds silly but those two jobs are some of the most involved things I've done myself to a car before. Looking forward to learning more and getting better at this, thanks to all the help around here.

Yep, I used to use it when I worked as a window washer. But I hate the feel of steel wool between my fingers, so I avoid it whenever I can.

The theme of my 4Runner project is minimum $, max miles, max fun, so today I fixed the plastic side covers that kept falling off of the seats. Dealer wants $90 each for new ones and I've tried gluing the tabs back on several times with no success.
2 TEK screws solved the problem permanently and I kind of don't mind the looks of them. I hit 'em with a Sharpie marker for the skunk works look for now, and if I can find some "Moon Mist" paint I might color key them.
I also got some fine new Pep Boys floor mats to cover up the giant hole in the carpet and replaced the drivers side seatbelt retractor.

I've been considering doing something very similar on my electric seats. Nice to see that it would work!
Replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. Broke a vacuum nipple off on some denso plug thing. Drained the trans fluid for the first time in 225k miles. Wix part number for my truck has a different type gasket and filter. Going to take a look at one for a rear wheel drive instead of a 4wd and see what it looks like. Today is not my day.
