You do know that a new cat can be had for $85 and it'll cost about that to have it welded on right? A little paint stripper will pull the paint off your cat in no time. Considering you can sell a cat for $50-100, a $5 can of paint stripper is a worthy investment. The real fun would be to gut the cat and weld it back on. Then when they steal it they'll realize they wasted their time and you'll get a laugh out of it.

That is amazing. I get about 210 miles to a tank. This is next on the list. @%1;

I though about changing mine as preventative maintenance but when I looked they are 100% rusted in place, the nuts dont even exist anymore. Just little rusted stubs where the bolts were.

I took my 4Runner up in the snow. Finally for the first time I got it stuck (4yrs of ownership). Goofing off down a forest road my buddy was filming me rally racing around a corner. Well confidence set in and after the 6th time I over corrected and nosed the 4Runner into the 5ft banking.

It's actually a relief to pop my "getting stuck cherry". The best part is I had the tools and knowledge to get us out. Also used the rear locker for the first time! All in all awesome day out getting snow on the tires, mud on the paint, and gaining more experience off road.

May have pics and video just waiting on my friends.

After replacing all three solenoids in my transmission and doing a 16qt flush the other day, I took the wife and kids up to the high Sierras to play in the snow. 160 mile round trip heavily loaded with 3 kids, snow gear, myself and the wife. My fuel mileage improved significantly even in those driving conditions. Up 3.7 mpg from last fill up.

I imagine it will get a little better once I clean the MAF and replace the upstream O2 so I can pass smog.

Anyways, I would not have thought the solenoids and flush would make such a difference.

Not bad for a nearly 20 year old truck with 390,000 miles.

Spent today wiring up some rock lights. I built two small custom brackets out of scrap aluminum for the front wheels and found a nice mounting hole in the frame for the rear. Wired them up to my overhead switch console. [emoji1360]

I've got some of those same LEDs. Very cheap, bright and handy to install wherever. Good idea...
