What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Yesterday, I cleaned and re-oiled my K&N air filter, cleaned MAF sensor and cleaned the throttle body. Also tightened up the throttle and cruise control cables. I'm pretty sure the throttle body had never been cleaned. Feels like a new engine this morning.

After reading the post above which mentioned problems with Harbor Freight torque wrenches, and sheared off bolts, I happened to visit a motorcycle forum I follow -- and they too were discussing HF torque wrenches. Installed my coilovers this afternoon. Now to figure out the new clunk that started right after

Got my 4R back on the road after a rear axle seal saga. New bearings, seals, diff breather, shoes, brake springs, drums turned. 6 cans of break cleaner to clean the gear oil. But now it makes a god awful scraping soundcwhen i drive, i think the backing plate got bent slightly and rubbing on the drum. I'll fix it tomorrow and do the front rotors and pads too. I got a mityvac bleeder but it didnt work very well, air gets in through the bleed fitting threads and makes a stream of bubbles.

I spent about an hour trying to decide how to route the diff breather extension so it would have enough to flex, but not kink or have low spots, and not rub against stuff or interfere with anything else.

Another typical saturday morning job that turns in to a week long job as I wait for parts. Doing the front pads and rotors but forgot the new shims for the pads, one of the pins is slightly bent, the rubber brake line is damaged so I will order some stainless replacements, and I can't get the caliper bolts undone so waiting for liquid wrench to do its thing. And I broke a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter on the breaker bar. Then I noticed the inner cv boot needs to be replaced.

Edit: holy shit those OE flex hoses are $67 each. Stainless it is then, 2 for $72.50. Or parts store ones for $8?

Today? Drove her out to Joliet from Chicago (50 mi) for a meeting, fueled up, washed her, and promptly found a £^€¥!+> screw in her left front tire. Went to Discount Tire Co (not sure if it's a Midwest-only chain but they're fantastic, can't recommend them enough) and they patched it! Can get a few more mod out of these LTX M/S2s thank god.

Ditched the front Bilstein 4600's and installed some 5100's I got from amazon warehouse. Got rid of the stink bug stance I had before. And now for an ice cold Session.

PS, no rust, just remnants of Sedona AZ.

This has been debated many times before but I'll go ahead and say it again.

At some point in the future you will probably regret removing both of those.

Holy Cow man, I had a 40 series on mine for a week and it was miserable! I can't even imagine that thing!
