are those bronze? that's what i just got, love em.

They are the anthracite silver color. I contemplated bronze but it ultimately clashes with my black bumpers and green paint I thought. These are fairly close to the color that was on there and I think it will be a good fit.

So I washed my truck. Noticed on the hood there are spots that look dirty but don't wash clean and also some faded spots on the hood and just above the windshield. Clear coat does not look like its going. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't expect that from a silver 4runner.

If I were in your position I'd find the least visible spot, and tape off like a 1" x 1" square. Inside the square I'd clay bar it (I'd actually clay bar the whole vehicle, but this will be faster), use a polishing compound on it (put some on a microfiber towel and just work it into the square), and then put a nice wax down on it.

If it clears up the spot, I'd do the whole vehicle with an orbital. If it has adverse affects (like you see silver paint coming off in the polishing phase) I'd take it to a detail shop and ask them what's up.

well, I have used the clay bar on the whole hood and did the whole hand in the plastic bag test, and used some polish and some wax. doesn't seem to do much. BUT, I'm not super knowledgable in detailing cars.

I kinda fear the paint is failing under the clear coat. I suppose I better find a good detailer locally and pick their brain.

Maybe I'll try to get some pics of it to see what y'all think.

Received my 42" Arsenal Offroad Curved light bar, 2 CSI 3/4" D-Ring shackles to go into the brackets I bought from the guy on here, and painted my light bar mounts from SRQ Fab.

Ordered my LEDS yesterday to update my dash to match the new stereo. I figure with the new one I can change the color and I like red so it's all going to red. Bulbs will be in tomorrow.

Got my front plate bumper all welded up. Since this pic i also cleaned it all up, ground the welds into nice smooth rolled edges and all the rust off. Just need to fab up and weld in the mounting tabs in the back of it, cut a few holes for lights and bend a bar up to follow around the grill.

Next i pulled her into the garage and started fixing dents and digs. I hope to sling some paint on her this weekend ( i took off tomorrow and monday)

I took my running boards off. Makes it look a couple inches taller, I think it looks nice.
