Tonight I did the prep wire work for installing a switch panel this weekend and putting the traction control on an on/off switch. All cables are soldered, shrink wrapped, and then the pairs are taped together in multiple places and labeled.

Assembled these....

and fitted the freshly assembled front diff.

Lifting a front diff in n your own on axle stands and a gravel driveway is really not fun!

Also partially built the rear callipers, but need an assistant as I need more hands... I also degreased all the handbrake parts that I'm reusing (most will be new)

Nice, Looks like you're doing some of the same work I'm getting ready to do.

Damn, I knocked the speakers off my desk with that big ole picture!! Seriously, looking good. Have you ever considered using Ancor Marine Grade Electrical Nylon Insulated Adhesive Lined Heat Shrink Disconnects. They're a little more spendy but a quality connector if you're going to be doing a lot of electrical work. I think you'll like them. Here's a link on Amazon: Ancor Connectors

Looks like you got it installed (sorry for the late response) so you know about the mounting brackets needing to be trimmed and stuff already. I didn't keep the original amp as I believe the pioneer has one built in. No issues,very plug and play. The only thing I forgot to do was expose the 2nd antenna port (its above the 1st one covered by the back plate) so right now i only have one antenna working; eventually i will plug the window-mounted one back in. That's it though. Hope you enjoy the new radio!

yep. trimmed the brackets, the faceplate a little to fit my opening and the trim panel. didn't know the small antenna one is there. AM works for me here.

Gotta love Washington. Weather was beautiful all day, decided to do a nice detail on the truck.

Wash, clay bar, compound, took a break and got dinner/played baseball and came back to add sealer. Pulled my other cars out of the way so I had the entire garage for the 4runner. Sealed it, put black trim restore stuff on the flares/trim, opened garage to go for a drive an take some nice night shots....

Dumping ass rain. :flipoff:

I posted the pic from my phone and the browser automatically resized the pic. I didn't see what it did until I logged in on my desk top - oops. As for the insulators; these are all inside the cab. I have some of the marine grade connectors for everything under the hood. I figure if I have enough water/moisture in the cab that I need the Marine grade connector then I have bigger problems than my switch panel acting up. lol

Got the slider for the drivers side welded up last night. Im pretty pleased with it. Going to do the passenger tonight but they wont go on til I finish the body work this weekend. Its been slow the last week or so with no time to get to my shop. Ive been trying to steal a couple hours at night.

Just finished the fog light mod and installed the Curt roof basket.

I installed a few LED strips into the cargo area to provide more light when camping and sorting through fishing gear at night. I wired them into the dome light so they come on when the hatch opens. My goal was to brighten up the cargo area as well as the ground around the rear bumper and I think they do that nicely!
