Hello All..

New member here. I'm unable to create a thread so I hope someone will see this..

I just bought a 2000 Toyota SR5 3.4L. I bought it knowing it had an exhaust leak. I ordered the walker kit from RockAuto as well as the secondary catalytic converter.

The parts just arrived today. Both the catalytic converter and muffler part have inlets for an O2 sensor. I know there is an O2 sensor connected to the first cat, and if i'm not mistaken, these cars only have two O2 sensors.

Can someone please confirm if I purchased the correct parts? I contacted Walker prior to purchasing the parts to make sure I'm looking at the correct part(s), but I'm puzzled with this additional inlet that i'm seeing. Does the muffler part replace the secondary cat??

Are you a Cali. or Federal 49-state exhaust? (2000 had both types sold all over the country.)

Because it sounds like you got a 49-state muffler and a Cali. cat. I know nothing about Walker, but Toyota has the second port on the muffler on 49-state and on the second cat on the Cali.s. I assume you are Cali. because you are looking for a second cat (49-state have only one) so you probably have the wrong muffler.

Went camping in the high desert of Arizona. Second trip to our camp in two weeks. Our camp site is a very old abandon logging road high on a ridge. 4 people, gear and food. All fit fine with use of the roof rack. That's why I named her The Mule.

Changed oil & filter yesterday, replaced power steering fluid, removed running boards (have some rocker panel rust cleanup and treat with POR15 to do) & installed a brand new OEM front set of mud flaps for the SR5. I really like the look, just got to get used to exiting the vehicle without them.

Just dropped off the 4runner at the shop. Replacing exhaust system with Walker exhaust kit. My 4runner(2000) was built for California emissions, therefore has two cats. Exhaust kit will remove one of them, which will then throw a code. I will have to purchase O2 sensor simulator to bypass code.

Also getting rear axle seal replaced

Installed Wheel Spacers today! As much as I love my narrow tires, sometimes I feel a bit inferior to the rest of you. I saw these posted on here and had some pretty good reviews.

They arrived pretty quick and packed very well.

Mounted on the Rear. I didn't get a pic of the front, but our studs are 1/4" shorter on the front. They look pretty short with the spacers mounted, but I counted the threads as I screwed it on and I hit 5 or 6 just with my fingers. Then hit it with the air gun, and then the torque wrench. Should be fine, but I think I would like to upgrade to longer studs in the future.

After a quick drive, I feel it's a lot more stable as I take sharp corners (like pulling out onto a highway). Along with that, it drives better down the highway (due to the ruts in the roads) I think. Not positive on that, just yet.

Also, I'm pretty sure they added 10hp to my truck! And that's at each wheel, so a total of 40HP!!! :jump:

Ok well the reason i ask was cause if said that its a direct oem replacement. My local dealer is asking $122 a piece, What place you guys buy them from?

Got mine from CamelBack Toyota about a year. Think I paid 85ish $ a piece.

People on here will say anything other than oem is a death wish but I have napas and they're great so far. If I ever feel like they've worn down then I can swap them out.

what I learned with LBJ's is if you can't afford OEM.. like me.. then go and have them pull the part... inspect the brands available... you will very quickly notice the difference in quality between them. The one in the photo appears to be the 555 casting with a good boot, but hands on will help. ... In my case I changed mine then 6 months later opted to change them to the Tacomas. No idea if it will help, but it is quite a bit beefier.
