When I change mine out I'll send you my originals if you want. Complete spindles with my original bearings, dust shield an all. Its a lot easier and safer doing the mod off your rig. I have your address. I'll see what the shipping cost is via fed ex. Just let me know. Nice thing is there's zero rust. I don't see any reason for me to keep them. If you want my buddy to weld them on here we can work that out as well.

Sounds good to me, I have a buddy mechanic who's a good welder but I've been asking him to help me install the S/C since April so it would probably be quicker to have your buddy do it! LOL Thanks Mike!

A friend of mine installed the spartan locker in my 4runner. Loving it so far. Still getting used to driving with it. Can't wait to go out to the desert n see the difference.

Also today been doing a bit of 4WD diag on mine since I got it and 4WD doesnt work(electical). Pulled a few sensors and tested continuity. Once the rain stops, will be doing a serious interior cleanup and some light paint clean up before winter

My first parts store control valve lasted a little over a year before it started leaking. Second one has been on for over a year and still no leaks. Not sure if it's hit or miss, or if they're just low quality all around.

Yes all parts store is crap. If it fails in a year I will spend the money on an OEM I guess. It made it 270k miles and 20 years before it failed.

New for California this year. If a car is 2000 or newer you don't have to have the tailpipe emissions check on the dyno anymore. The tech told me it's because they figure the onboard monitoring on the newer cars is good enough that there would be a CEL if anything was wrong.

All he did was look for the correct parts and check the OBD for codes.

dang, i got it from wal mart for $35 i think. it fits great. have to cut out the plastic in back and take off the boot for the antenna. a friend put cloth tape so it was flexible and went into a 90. the antenna is still presseed up against the hvac but not much. my first cb and im trying to get the hang of it.

Besides wheels and suspension, probably the best mod I have done is a CB. My buddy and I went from going out every couple of weeks to almost once a week now because the comms are so much fun. Also came in handy on the highway listening to truckers on channel 19


Today I drove my 4Runner around a lot. Ran some errands. But also located an really intense squeak coming from the OTRE where the boot has ripped and I'm guessing mud, dirt and water are taking its toll on it. That's what I get for using aftermarket parts. Only a few years old, but look like they are 10 the way the boot came apart.

Built myself a nice USB adapter to plug into my head unit. Basically cut the back out of one of the plugs in the dash, took apart a USB Power adapter, put in a male to female USB cord, and glued everything back together. Gives me a nice, solid place to plug flash drives into my headunit.

Night and day, I wheeled with an open diff 4runner and wheeled with my Aussie rear locker 4runner never had to use 4x4, stuck the whole trail in 2wd. its easy to get used to it, u turns are extra hard though. but drifting in snow is a lot easier LOL. I love mine but back end tends to slip during snowy days, which isnt a problem for you

A couple of times its locked up mid turn and let out a mighty racket lol I've had one in my 5spd stnd cab 88 pickup and it bucked and banged a lot worse than this one. Maybe cause the runner is heavier and longer and auto this locker seems tame

Yeah never had any banging on mine like how some people claim, but i love this thing. Yeah have to be careful in hard turns, even getting out of a parking lot it tends to lock up

Started the Valve Cover Project, FSM and IPad in hand. I'm going to take this super slow and make sure I take my time cleaning. so far Looks like a spark plug tube seal is toast as well as anything to do wth the PCV. I have had a CEL since I replaced the PCV valve line. Don't know what that's about.
