I was able to view your pictures in firefox. You have an awesome build going on there. I guess chrome is just having a fit over how awesome your pics are.

Attempted to drop off my rig at the dealership to have the 100k SC service. Turns out they forgot to order gaskets or some BS to complete the job, so I need to go back Friday. After reading about the 2nd gen TRD SC in this forum, methinks they're missing more than just gaskets. I asked the service writer about the need to replace the nose cone, and all I got was a blank stare. Oh, and btw, they want $1100 to do that maintenance. Yikes!

PS. Filled my first tank full today. Got 15.8 mpg. Ouch. 220 miles on a tank sound about right? 50-50 mix of city/hwy driving. Still happy with her tho!

You get the same or better than I do am I am N/A.

Got off of work and replaced the radiator, both lower ball joints and am in the process of steering rack bushing. The rad and ball joints took 2 hours. So far I've been battling getting the bushings out of this damn rack for over an hour. That's with both tie rod ends already off. I'm starting to get just a little pissed. Might be time to break out the drill and just drill the old rubbers out. I thought this was gonna be the easy part of the project. lol If any one has any other ideas let me know.

Pressing them back in was pretty easy. A little soapy water to the bushings and sleeves. Then press the bushings in first. Then slide the sleeve in. I had to use some large channel locks to keep the drivers side sleeve set most of the way. After that just tighten everything up. Getting the torque on the upper facing nut is a real PIA but it's doable with some swivel heads and a few extensions.

As far as getting those old bushings out, I used a 1/8 drill bit to bore the crap out of the rubbers. Then pressed them out with the smaller bolt and a nut threaded on it. Big channies again and they finally came right out.

That concludes all the preventive maintenence for this rig. Now to get some fun stuff. loll

If you have a torch on hand you can heat them to help them slide out easier. You try a C clamp and large socket.

Level 8 MK6's in matte gunmetal. Been eyeing them for a while and my local Discount Tire had them in stock. Apparently someone with a Land Cruiser ordered them and they didn't fit, lucky for me!

salvage find: fender side markers

Went to local picknpull bc they got four 3rd gens in, which is atypical here. Unfortunately they looked like they rolled down a mountain and landed there. Not much of use :/ and they wanted $20 for a '98 grille, which I refuse to pay for something I'd just hack apart anyway (satoshi). I did find some fender side markers off an '06 xA and a unicorn seat button for my wife's Accord coupe. Excited to get the side markers installed, just trying to figure out best place to tap into the turn signals; I eventually want to make the existing turns and parking lights into switchback led panels that will both blink and stay white otherwise.
The pictures from a writeup on YT by [MENTION=21114]LSUMatt1514[/MENTION] won't load for me, so just curious if anyone knows where the turn signal wires show up in the engine bay? I follow them from the light itself but they disappear into the fender. Wanted to tap the jdm-style side markers into the existing wire in the engine area preferably but if needed I can do it behind the turns under the bumper.

Arrived home from camping to find my OEM switches among many other parts had arrived. Got the switches installed; I wish the bottem wires were long enough to reach the top spots but this will do.
