yea, having 33s and blocking my lower grill with a 32 inch light bar made my temps higher than normal. this was my free fix until i get an actual louvered panel. where i live it gets to 120 in the summer and i still go out and wheel. i had my hood on spacers and that helped as well but it was directing the hot air to the side and entering the cabin so i came up with this stupidly ghetto fix lol.

Installed my dual band ham radio! I also drilled a hole in the roof for a proper NMO antenna! I also crossed 175,000 miles.

i wish i could say alcohol was the reason, im 14 months sober lol and now my rear axle is leaking so i cant do anything about the stupid hood until i fix the axle seal

I did my axle seals over the summer. If you need any help let me know. I had Wymore's do the press work and it went well. They can take off your seal retainers and abs exciter rings so you don't need to buy new ones.

Too bad I didn't keep my old hood. There is a yard in Ramona with several 4runners.

My mom misses that she can't spot me a mile away also, and my wife already lost it in a parking lot. That never used to happen.

Wanted to introduce myself, but since I have zero posts, I couldn't start a new thread. Lol. I'm about to turn our 2000 4Runner grocery getter into a more fun, more capable machine. Right now, it's bone stock, but I have an OME 2.5" suspension kit on the way. Then, I'll look into wheels, tires, and a few other upgrades to make it look, and drive, like the truck it wants to be. Did some photoshop work to visualize how it might end up.

I'm guessing I'll be asking lots of questions here in the near future! Thanks in advance!

While removing the spare tire years ago I noticed a little black box on the frame rail. Turns out the previous owners has a spare valet key made and placed it in this box. Kudos to the magnets, for the way I drive I would have thought it would have been long gone off the rail. The key is still there as of today.

I've been spoiled by my Volvo - won't let you lock it if the key is in the ignition and the ignition is off. But today was just carelessness. Wife has the spare key and typically we work within a mile of each other... but today she was on PTO for a sight-related issue that meant she was 30 miles away and couldn't drive the spare down to unlock me.

Plus I had to pick up our son before 6pm today, so no time to experiment in the work parking lot with a hammer, a door stop and a coat hanger after closing. Had to call pop-a-lock ( [MENTION=99383]amalik[/MENTION] ) as not one, not two, but THREE calls to AAA netted ZERO doors of my 4Runner being unlocked (all of them no-showed).

At 4:15pm I was getting desperate (had to leave at 5pm to make it to the day care before 6 with some cushion for traffic), called the pop-a-lock folks, they were there in 10 minutes, had the thing unlocked in 30 sec. Yeah it cost $30 but it's better than my son's day care calling the cops on us for no-showing before the mandatory 6pm cutoff (they're serious about that stuff up here).

The icing? I got a call from the AAA contracted lock person at 5:30 saying they were 45 minutes out.
