Replaced the turn signal stalk. Damn thing would cut the lights on and off when signal was hit for left turns. Sometimes it would cut the headlights all together!!

No worries, not offended. I laughed when I first saw it too. Never saw one of those before and was sure there was a reason why but, like I said, already on order with a few other replacements.I only looked it up for your benefit. I recognized it as gimmicky Chinese junk as soon as I saw it; hence my post to you with the disclaimer that I had no personal experience with the product but personally would dump it quick for a known quality part.
I'm not trying to bust your balls on this issue. This is a forum where everyones input is what makes it a good place visit. I simply offered my opinion based on my experiences.

Minor encounter with a rock....skidplate saved me, it bent way in and is about 1/2" away from my condensor and radiator. Anyone have any ideas for bending that crossmember back??

I think about this happening all the time where I live. This one happened two weeks ago just an hour after we drove through this section.
Glad your ok and the 4Runner did its job!

She got the bath she needed. The PO was old and spilled many a coffee. Nothing a detail can't handle.

- Finally replaced the stock 6-spoke wheels with these 16x8 Pro Comp 7069s from 4WheelParts; this also included a $100 mail-in rebate so I ended up getting a 5th so I could have the full-size spare.
- I didn't like the Pro Comp center caps (fitment issues on the 3rd gen) so I'm using the low profile center hubs from Wheeler's Off-Road. I may rattle can or find some other way to finish em later.
- Wheel lugs used are Gorilla 21138ETBC also ordered from Wheeler's Off-Road. These are great because they have the extra 1/4" shank below the tapered seat, which helps center the wheel on the rotor.
- It's winter in Chicago. I added a new set of 285/75/16 Duratracs. Currently trying them at 35psi.
- Changed the stock front turn signal lenses (amber) to crystal (Depo brand, purchased on eBay from seller "neondials"). It was a super easy install, 5-10 minutes.

Also, where did you find that rebate form for the 7069s? I knew I saw that somewhere, but I couldn't find it again.
Oh! I was walking out to a freezing morning, running a little behind getting to work, sighed as I realized I needed to scrape the ice from my windows, but then was very excited to see my new Stubbs HD-SKO sliders on my front door step! Ha! I am glad my hands weren't wet as I was very eager to get my paws on them and get them inside. I laughed at myself as this scenario played out in my head, and how hopelessly screwed I would be tethered to the large frozen sliders... hahaha...
I need to do some research to make sure I have everything to prep and paint. I think most people use a hammered finish, but I will have to give a look see.
