well i learned something new today after messing with the old e28 5 series all weekend trying to get new spark plugs in it.





apparently you can unscrew the covers on spark plugs to make them fit the Bosch ignition on the older BMW's. 25 years old and i had no idea this was a thing.

also in the market for a new daily driver, looking at either a 2004 A4 USP, or a 2004 A6 Avant. Missing having an audi, thinking coilovers or maybe bag this one.

They all unscrew. Fun stuff working on German cars.

Crazy. I remember being 16 and taking them apart. The ceramic makes for easy braking off windows. Haha. Just thought they all unscrewed.

Cleaned the engine thoroughly before handing her over to the mechanic tomorrow.

Replaced both knock sensors and the wire harness.

Runs good, around the block at least. Hopefully the problem is solved but now is the time to drink so I'll have to take it for a longer spin tomorrow.

Visited the dealer for an oil change and bought some coolant for an upcoming coolant flush. Should be a fun project.

Laid down a guide coat of primer...needs some fine tuning but I am happy with the results so far.

Like a lot of you- I've always had mixed feeling about the fat lips, and mostly didn't like them. But I got a plan for it I'm really excited about!

My buddy needed a '96-98 bumper with dark gray flair pieces, so I said fck it and threw it on. Going to paint it when the weather warms up to a reasonable temp to paint. Winter in the PNW means- even with a weekly wash- my shits' always dirty [emoji24] So I don't even care the bumper doesn't match. Have a IJM 99/00 grill I need to paint too, but I wasn't gonna go full-retard with he front end *

Added methanol injection and tuned it. Only added about 30-40 HP, no biggie...

Next up, LED dash lights!
