Yeah, I bought a 98 that someone had run hot and messed up the engine. The donor was wrecked and bought pretty cheap.

Today I found out that my climate control vent changer knob wasn't actually doing anything. This 4R is new to me and luckily I found out on a semi-warm day. Looked under the driver side dash and noticed the cable was disconnected from the plastic regulator piece. I popped the cable on and can now switch my vents, though, I can't get it to switch to upper vents only. That's a project for another day.

Finally got the front end of my 99 completely apart. Every rusty nut and bolt fought me tooth and nail but none prevailed. I swear the PO only did oil changes and filling the gas tank as maintenance on this truck cuz everything had 18 years of rust and grim and crap built up on it. There was a part of me who thought I should just cut everything off in spite and SAS this beach but that's gonna be further down the road after I move out of my house in the summer. Now I gotta work on the rear axle fixing rear brake lines and parking brake, leaking axle seals, rusty sh*t, and then lifting everything.

Washed/waxed it.
After wash, before wax-

Supposed to get some good snow over the next week. Snow means all kinds of nasty road grime. The wax should help shed that [emoji1383]

Spent a full day detailing. Wash, clay bar, polish and sealant. Neglected paint job long overdue for this amount of attention. Also installed some front mud flaps and removed the factory roof bars to fabricate my custom Rola rack mounts. Before, during and after.
