I put about 5 miles on it today just to test out the Red top Optima battery I installed and after two weeks of it sitting there it started like it was driven yesterday.

Tank you! Yeah I am doing it all myself. I ordered the seat covers from leatherseats.com and ordered 3 extra yards of the same material. The arm rest was a pain in the ass. I added an extra 1/4 of foam to make it softer. The door panels are tricky because there is no seam on the top line. It is just glue and tucked.

Yeah I have spot on my door where the glue is starting to loosen up.
As for the center console lid, I'll look into making one of those possibly. I'll check out that leatherseats.com place too.

yesterday i bought my 97 limited 4runner

Got a few things done the last few days. While doing the big things got some some small things done like greasing the joints, changing oil filter, drain/fill tranny pan, and a few other minor things.
Put a 1" body lift on.

I did an ultrasonic clean on my injectors and then flow tested them. Turns out, one was completely dead. Probably where my misfire came from... I'll add pics and video to my build thread

Removed my headliner, found out ASC (American Sunroof Company) covered my OEM headliner with shitty foam/cloth that rotted itself out and left a bunch of glue residue on a perfectly good headliner. They also hacked up my OEM headliner into three sections. :redbrick:
On a different note , after I get a new headliner and insulate my install will be much easier then removal.

Drove 500 miles to NV after work. Went 303.3 miles on a single tank and averaged 18.8 MPG in high winds.

All good stuff there, what muffler did you go with?Cleaned filthy MAF sensor, new muffler and tailpipe, air filter, exchanged all brake fluid (thanks for key-on tip) helped with the rears especially, tested antifreeze, contemplated bigger tires.

As far as tires go, you should match your tires to the kind of driving you do and conditions you expect to encounter.
I upgraded to Hankook 265 LTs shortly after buying my 4runner for two reasons:
I drive a lot of highway, but I also encounter a lot of mud and snow, and I need tires that are up to the task.
Plus I wanted to be able to use the same set of chains I use for my other truck running 31.5 LTs
I recently refreshed with the same tire and the guy at the tire shop was like, "you want that offroad look, right?" grinning, and then warned me that I'd get less life out of LTs on the Highway. Then he looked up my last tire purchase and he was amazed to see I got 110K miles out of my first set of Hankooks.
Testimonial to Hankooks right there. With proper inflation and tire maintenance, you can get tires to last.
