What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Removed my headliner, found out ASC (American Sunroof Company) covered my OEM headliner with shitty foam/cloth that rotted itself out and left a bunch of glue residue on a perfectly good headliner. They also hacked up my OEM headliner into three sections. :redbrick:
On a different note , after I get a new headliner and insulate my install will be much easier then removal.

Still have the headliner out? Any way you can get me a diameter of the holes that the 4 round rear clips go in to on the ceiling?

Clearance. lots of clearance by flipping that anchor point.

Don't get it with that receiver hitch design. Looks like now instead of having just the receiver hanging down the whole square tube the receiver is welded to is hanging down.

whats the point of flipping the hitch?

Gives more ground clearance. I gained a full 2.5" of clearance. I only drag my hitch when going over new/steep banks, fire/logging road ditches and water diversions. It also allows a trailer hitch to have more clearance as the stock/most suspensions barely hold any weight

Nope...here is where it started....the tire in the flip is hanging lower and not tightened back into place. It created a full 2.5" of more clearance. Happy to provide more pics if you want....will keep big heads nose out of it.

It really does help...its a little wide for smaller rigs but I can make it work (Put in for heavy Class 8 trucks) Now that the uprights lifts are wider (can park larger vehicles between them easily) I would love a lift over the pit. It could happen in the next couple of years.

Just measured 13mm diameter of 4 holes in rear of headliner

Stock is on top, flipped on bottom. I bet he gained almost two inches vertical clearance and even more departure angle from the tube sticking out that low.

I did one side of vc and put on custom bumper in the rear. I put the oem skids back on. I'm going camping tonight and wheeling tomorrow. First time going to chiva falls.

Replaced solenoids in transmission, which was planned and new alternator that wasn't planned.

I tried to replace my steering wheel with one from a '98 Camry, since they have the same 4-spoke design and whatnot. HOWEVER, the airbag from the 4runner will not clip into the Camry clips, and the clips cannot be swapped, because the mounting holes are about 0.25" off. I was surprised that they had so many differences, yet look exactly the same. I COULD get the Camry airbag, but that's another $50 from the Pick-n-Pull.

I also got seats from a 2000 Celica to replace the smoked out front seats I have. I am just swapping the lower slider pieces (the pieces with the notches for slider lock and that have the actual mounting feet riveted to them). The slider tracks are the same width and general design, but they are a MAJOR PITA to swap. I'll do a small write-up tomorrow, documenting the process to do the passenger side, now that I cussed enough for the rest of the year figuring it out for the driver's side. They will be a nice little bolt-in when done.

While at the PNP, I also grabbed the 120v inverter, switch, and outlet from a Toyota Matrix. I'll probably install this in the spaces in the dash where I don't have a RR DIFF LOCK Switch.
