WOAH! Looks like you found [MENTION=63060]rickashay[/MENTION] old 4Runner! I'd recommend checking out his build thread, tons of great pictures and writeups. His 4Runner really was the one that started my obsession with my Desert Dune 4Runner.

I've followed rickashay for years! He told me he sold his truck "Dirt Duster" to someone in Windemere... Maybe it made its way to Kelowna....

rickashay moved up to an LX450 and his thread was last updated in 2015.

Replaced the rear liftgate supports with Strong-arms (4286). HUGE improvement versus the factory supports. Doesn't go up too fast and goes up all the way, unlike the old ones. Super impressed, I very much recommend them to anyone who is looking for some.

When I've got time (my 3 sons and my Wifes' car always seem to come before mine!!), and money, I've got a couple projects of my own:

Did what I knew I had to do. Yep took a 3lb hammer to her...pounded her to make em fit! After suspension upgrades...still making contact on compression at 50mph, removed OEM mudflaps, beat Pinch Weld, fits now! What an awesome day when you can work with shop door open in a T-Shirt on Feb 11th!

Found my 3rd non OEM replacement parts on rig since owning. First was crap brakes, 2nd crap drive belts and now crap spark plug wires.

I thought ngk wires where high quality but nothing compared to oem. $45 and came with all new wire clips and shielding. Very nice.

bought a new airbox since mine has a hole in it and all the used ones i've been finding were cracked in the same spot. put this airaid thing in...

Finally got some lights mounted in my 4xInnovations front bumper.

I have some Shackles on the way, and some 4" mini LED bars to mount also when I get another free day.

Happy with how the truck is looking though.

Good stuff but i find the blue ngk wires add some flavor to the bay!... And they seem to work well with all ngk plugs imo.

Are the oem wires denso? Jw if you went with denso plugs if so... Since the oem plugs can be either denso or ngk.

I have the air raid and it frees up a ton of room even if it doesnt add any oopmh in reality.

He needs to paint those center caps too. But I agree it looks great.

They are sumitomo wires OEM to toyota. I've ran ngk and msd on all my turbo cars. They are of OEM quality and work great. Just already had red in the engine bay. Looks funny when you have clashing colors. I went with denso oem plugs.
