What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Didn't start today....but I finished today so that counts for something...

She Turned 170,000 on 2/6...



So I parked her and got to work giving her some love in the legs dept. "Lt. Dan, you got new legs....Magic Legs."

Sonoran Steel System 1.2 Installed over the course of a few days/weeks when time and weather permitted on my days off, (lucky me....get to drive the LX when the 3rd gen is down). Finished except for alignment and bleeding of rear brakes.


And during the downtime when I wasn't wrenching on the suspension, I gave the cockpit some much needed love courtesy of the GF's valentines day presents.....

Panavise 3rd Gen Mount and [MENTION=124475]bhicks22[/MENTION] double cup holder...Now...to decide on the best phone mount to attach to my panavise.

What did you use to get the white lettering on your J-shifter? I like it.

my gf's nail polish. just slather it on and fill up the depressions of the lettering...wipe the top surface clean with a cotton ball and acetone...and you're left with just paint in the lettering.

Replaced my exhaust! Had 2 pretty nasty leaks, one of which was a split muffler. I bought it this way so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of how it'd run after it got replaced. Engine is now so smooth that you can't feel it idle, has a "throatier" sound to it, and power seems to have increased a smidge. Excited to see how much it raises my MPG, because I was getting something like 11 prior.

Finished up my Warn M8000S winch Install with Factor 55 FlatLink E and the Cascadia 4x4 Flipster for my front plate.

Solenoid box will be relocated inside the bumper at a later time.

So last night... octanejunkie posted up his 270K pic. I wanted to see one at 100MPH. I had so many beers I was 10K off on my mileage. Then StreetCreeper got his photo shop going and Tucson4runner got involved. I was going to town today...nice stretch of straight road....what the hell lets do this.

Well she wont go 100MPH....LMAO...the old girl will only go 98 and it took a mile to get to that!!

Just bought a Pioneer AVH-X391BHS. My stereo was dying and I got a good deal on it at Best Buy.

Gonna have it installed, along with a rebuilt AC unit, tomorrow morning.

That's funny. Last night as I chased down some ******* driver on the highway, it was the first time I've ever really tried to get it fast (I usually set cruise once I hit 65-70), above 75, it took a while just to get it to 85!!!!!

Yes no problem. You might need longer bolts.

By the way, the part number on the bag is applicable to the 2001 4Runner SR5 4X4. The card information varied by years and trim levels. I used my VIN when I bought mine.

What did that card cost? I just scanned mine at a high resolution and printed it out on card stock paper. Trimmed it with rounded corners to look like new.
