I finally threw a lift on her. I went with the toytec boss 3" lift, and man does it make a huge difference over 15 year old coils with bilstein 4600s. I plan on polishing and waxing tomorrow, and putting the hood protector back on.
On a side note: I hope whoever designed the rear shock mounts was fired and never allowed to engineer again.

Out with the old in with the new....just a preview of major things to come in the next couple days and week!
As it sits 1.5" of preload, and 39.5" from the ground to the fender well. Not complete right now, but tomorrow the fronts will be done. Sits much differently already.

Nice job on the storage rack. Wish there were MOLLE racks available for the 3rd gen for our side windows.

Honestly I know that the table is being held with 2 hinges L & R. The guy who built all my goodies is the shop foreman at a shop that builds drawers, cabinets,etc on fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles. They do a lot of custom work for these guys. I just told him what I wanted and he delivers. Really cool guy and I've been his neighbor for 3yrs.

I have been getting the last few pieces of the puzzle together to move forward on a few projects while I wait for my 4X Innovations rear swing out bumper to show up.
On the electrical front I picked up a Blue Sea fuse box and circuit breaker,
Blue Sea Systems 285-Series Surface Mount 100A Circuit Breaker, plus the
Blue Sea Systems ST Blade Fuse Block - 12 Circuits with Negative Bus & Cover to organize my power.
For the new bumper, I just ordered my Sanoran Steel Rear 4Runner Polyurethane Body Mounts. Now all I need is to order my ARB/OME 861 springs.
With any luck this week I can get over to Discount Tire to settle up and get reimbursed for fixing their cross threaded lugs, (x3). After writing a detailed letter to their customer service, the local store manager called to try to fix the situation. He offered to comp me a BFG KO2 285/75/16, as I said that I was in the market for picking up a full sized spare. So that is pretty cool. One less thing to worry about. That, and they ordered me new spline lugs. I prefer the 3/4 ET, but at this point, I just want to be done with it. And, that's about it.

Fitted these a couple of weeks ago.. I'll update the build thread!
Back to factory LCA bushes, and fitted factory Landcruiser 90 rear LCA bushes and new factory UCAs.. New (poly boo) bushes in my SPC upper arms, new upper lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, and rebuilt front spindles with TC gussets.
Rides SO much better, is more poised over bumps, its generally just better.

Oh I'm glad that's open now! I went up there Memorial Day weekend but they still had the gate closed.
I polished a vehicle for the first time today. It was nowhere near as difficult or complicated as online instructions and videos make it out to be. Although, it is time consuming. This 15 year old runner by no means has show room paint anymore, but the polishing took out almost all the scratches I noticed. The only one I can tell is there from more than 3 feet away is on the driver door and is hard to notice. I didn't touch the front bumper or fenders.
Next up will be an air locker and compressor. I'm not a super hard offroader and spend most my time "offroad" on dirt roads, trails, etc. So, I figure my 2wd 4Runner with a rear locker will be more than capable.

Haha...! Glad to see you got it all finished. Let me know what you come up with for the ABS wires now that the TC G's are installed. Me - Zip tied.(temp fix.)

Ha! I already have one, but good thinking. I am glad that they stepped up and did something besides saying that they will try harder. This was the second time that they cross threaded lugs. So, two visits and five separate cross threads did not make me happy. This was a good faith effort to make the situation right and to try to right by their customers. I will go get this all sorted tomorrow afternoon... hopefully...
In the meantime, I have been compulsively checking the status of my 4X rear bumper build. I feel like I am one of those people watching April the giraffe, waiting for the the baby giraffe to show up. lolololol.

Yes... I'm also zip tied... as I had to on my SPC uppers too.
Makes my blood itch a bit!
Did you also find that the factory brake hose retainer fouls the gusset?

I also finished the final piece yesterday between work and visiting a mildly "irritated at my lateness girlfriend".. replacing the inner and outer track rods and boots.
I fitted a refurbished steering rack 4 years ago, and always suspected/complained that the arms had "less droop" than my previous one. it seemed to be bottoming out and limiting my suspension droop, (and putting untold strain on bits that shouldn't have strain on them)
As I'm an OEM fanboy I fitted genuine Toyota Inner track rods, here is a pic of them side by side. Toyota on the right. Granted the angle isn't perfectly lined up, but it does have a few degrees more flex... factor in the outer track rod length and that's a fair bit or articulation.
The bad news is the steering rack had some oil in one boot... so its probably due a replacement. again.
I might try the uprated rack guide mod.

I got new polarizing film to do the negative LCD on my ScanGauge, I wanted it to match the clock and headunit in my 4runner. Looks much better IMO.
