Bypassed my rear heater

We need another sticky at the top: "DANGER DANGER These 4 failures will destroy your 4runner if you don't replace the parts when it's time to."
- Lower Ball Joint failure
- Old radiator leaking coolant into the automatic transmission
- On '96 to '98's, your rear heater coolant lines will rust out and you will lose your coolant and overheat the engine and wreck your heads
- frame rails will rust out from the inside in a salty environment
Nothing today, but yesterday got my 1999 4x2 LTD thoroughly cleaned so I could post for sale. I'm working on my 15 posts so I can start a new thread and post photos. I have had mine for 14 years and it is still a great 4Runner. If I had more garage/driveway space I'd keep it.

replaced dash clock, LED dash lights, panhard bar was lose, tightened that up...
Yeah we don't know whats wrong or what happened. The hardest thing I had to deal with was when we had to turn around on the trail. Trying to run hand controls/steering/winching (as any in this situation is aware of that's a lot to do with 2 legs, 2 hands and NOT spill that drink).
It was good to see that things aren't totally out of the reach in long term. I need to do some massive RND and redesign of my 4Runner. Playing with some ideas and doing some research on some out of the box thinking

I won the battle with crusty fog light mounting hardware, my used replacements went in and work perfectly. I now have yellow fog lights, maybe at a later time I'll change over to clear bulbs so I can use them as driving lights.
Rear diffy vent got changed, the old one wasn't completely froze but it was on the way.

I got 2 emails today one from toytec and one from FN wheels. Both my wheels and lift will be here on Thursday...... Christmas came late this year and I'm ok with that. haha

Got the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LASER bulbs delivered today, and put one into the new (to me) '99 headlights. It's definitely whiter and brighter than the regular halogen, here are some pics.

Of course the real test will be taking it out on the road and see if I can actually see anything beyond my hood. I'm trying my best to avoid having to do to a retrofit, so we'll see how that works out.

Was dropping it anyway, thought I'd poke around. Not done with the poking, just annoyed with my lack of skills.
Front side shouldn't be too hard. Also need to do some strap modifying. Need to find a 2nd gen Taco strap to measure, I think it'll be too short, or mangle the 3rd gen's a bit. Bit stupid for an inch but I'm always up for silliness and the tank is already on the ground. Both tank and skid have been a smidge clearanced 'naturally'.

Like that - "natural clearancing"
I think I am going to move towards the Ford tank in the spare spot. Was looking at raising the tank with my body lift but the rear tank is going to be about as much work.

Did the yearly oil change. Much darker than before. Drained out over 5 quarts for 3200 miles.
Since Xmas I had noticed higher coolant temps. Finally found that the lower radiator hose is barely leaking where it mates to the radiator. I hate cold temps. One more thing to add to the list.
