got the second can of SEM trim black in and painted my front vailance. looks much better. also painted my dash and center console trim black. completely changes the look! very happy

I finally did it I think!!!! I swapped out the upstream O2 sensor and the p0171 code is gone. Hopefully it stays gone this time. I had to take it to an exhaust shop to get it off. So much rust

Pulled the trigger on some tires, these things are about as aggressive as you can get without going full m/t. I'm pretty happy with them so far.
Courser cxt 255/85/16.

That picture is also with my four old tires in the trunk, and I have a 1 inch body lift to install this weekend.

what head unit did you go with? How difficult was the backup camera?

I went with the Pioneer AVH-2330NEX. $400 at Crutchfield plus $20 for an easy connect harness to stock wiring loom. Head unit is easy. The backup camera...I got the lift gate apart, looked at the challenge of getting the wires to the front, drilling the pass through, and connecting it all to the reverse...and bailed. Paid an audio shop $130 to do it and it was worth every penny to have it done right.

Finished the soundproofing in front doors, but ran out of peel and stick for the rear.

If you’re doing the front, you’re going to want to take off all the plastic and remove the speaker. That gives you access with both hands. Cut the plastic sheet but leave it on the goo so as not to get it all over you. I had plastic sheeting I use for drop cloths and cut a new piece—hen you’re ready to put the new plastic on the door, THEN try to remove the old from the top so you cab reuse it as an adhesive. It comes off imperfectly, so so attached the new sheet with a combo of the goo and packing tape.

If you’re doing the back doors, there’s just one access hole. Cut out the plastic above the hole and patch it afterward. No need to remove whole sheet.

A version of the satoshi mod definitely ventured on a limb and whoever said it doesn't look right with the limited 99 grille, here's proof it can be done. Also threw down on the hella fog lights.

‘99 grills have a thinner top section which I prefer, plus I already had a ‘99 so it was free. Lol

I tried to do it but I couldn't get the wiring to work properly. I may end up getting an audio shop to do for me as well. I have the same head unit and I love mine.

Did some vacuuming of the interior.. decided to give a once over on the headliner too and got quite a shock when I realized its actually light grey up there. The past 4 years of ownership and I thought they just made the roof a little darker to contrast. hahah. So bad.. :redface:

Just for fun, I installed some switchback led turn signals/running lights in the clear 1996-98 style housing I had. I saw some videos of 3rd Gens and a Taco with them and they looked neat. At 6000k white, they're a bit blinding but whatever. Surprisingly bright

I bought a generic plug n' play set off of ebay for only $20 and it came pre-wired with resistors (for hyperflash). They also make high quality ones from VLEDs and iJDMTOY but those ran about $155 and $43...no thanks. I found out that dual filament sockets weren't needed for switchbacks, they make specific ones for 1156 sockets where an extra wire for the white is connected to a 12v source.

I just took mine on a 3.5 hr round trip yesterday to look at an Accord for a DD. The CEL stayed off, so that was good. Fuel mileage has definitely showed improvement and the truck just seems to run better, so the new Cats were a good decision. Now to start tracking down some heavy vibrations around 70 mph.

That looks like a great approach for DRL! Can you provide a link to the kit. Also, where does one find clear lenses for these lights?
