That is a harmonic damper for the transfer case.

Today I finished my new rails and cross bars. I built them out of unistrut and they came out quite nice. Now if any of you know how versatile that strut is, you might want to take a look into using it for building things. When I get enough time on board here, I'll post up the finished product.

Is the unistrut strong enough to handle tight ratchet straps without bending?

That strut is super strong. They use it in the building trades for hanging just about everything. Just make sure that you use their nuts with it.

I did my cross rails out of unistrut....

I nearly spit my coffee on my hood today. Some meth heads stole the light bars off of my truck. I filed a police report but I know I'll never get those back. Time to order some new ones. Also time to move further into the woods.

It's been turning over a little slower when I cranked it each day, so I had a suspicion I was going to need to replace the battery soon. I finally got outside to test it last night and the multi-meter read about 12.2V. I tried to crank it while reading the voltage, and it didn't even turn over. :sad: It was 9pm, so Walmart was my only option unfortunately. $100 later, I put in the Everstart MAXX-24N and all is well again. 750 CCA and a 3 year replacement warranty, so I figure it will do for a while.

Agreed to sell it to my friend. Yeah, it's kind of tough because it is a fantastic truck but I need something that is just a little bit nicer for my clients. So, I'm looking for a VERY clean 2010-13 Trail Edition with a sunroof. I know, good luck with that one.
