Got my 5100s installed front and rear!Went with OME 881s on the first notch up front and 99 talls with a daystar 1.5" in the rear. Happy with the ride so far but am curious to see how they feel after some break-in and get them out for some snow wheeling soon. Excuse the low quality pics and excessive vehicle salt!

PCV valve to replace the stuck one plus a new hose because the old one is a split hose-shaped rock. Grommet is already newer and in good shape.

Also replaced the hood bumpers that sit on the fenders, more rocks.

I'm looking to become a 3rd gen T4R owner and found a '99 SR5 w/ 135k for sale. It runs but has brake and check engine lights on, muffler needs replacing and it won't shift in to 4wd. From what I've read, it likely needs brake fluid, new CO2 sensor, new muffler and possibly a new vacuum canister but I have not yet verified. Seller is asking $1700, what is a fair offer considering the work it needs? I was thinking $1000 and plan do some of the work myself.
Sellers pictures are attached. Thoughts?

I'm a skeptical person at times and don't know the whole history--or what it actually needs--, so take this with a grain of salt-
That person must wear a lot of rings or something for a steering wheel like that at 135k. You gotta do what fits you, but I'd lean towards passing based on what you've said and what needs doing for that price. I'd rather spend a more to get something somebody paid attention to and that works (or mostly works) than something that doesn't seem quite right in a lot of ways with an unknown ending cost. You gotta do you though. Given where it's at make sure you look at the frame, the REAR lower control arm mount especially should tell a story.

It isn’t on because the truck runs better than I do. I’ve only had one CEL in 4+ years, which was remedied By new O2 sensors within 48 hours.

Unless this was sarcasm that went over my head. Also, the truck was on and running in this pic, so it wouldn’t light up like normal when you just turn the key to on

Haha definitey some sarcasm, my apologies. I am so used to mine being on that it looks so strange when people have their affairs in order. Every time my CEL clicks off I feel like something has gone terribly wrong. I just am not sure what my mechanic would say if I asked him to plug it in because "the check engine light went off, dude, something must be horribly wrong!"

My brother went to look at this 4Runner. Seller would not let him drive it. Claimed they were nervous of others driving it for some odd reason. My brother had cash in hand also.
I suspect the abs was going nuts in the snow. He said it leaked oil from oil pan (not vc covers and possibly the rear main seal) like crazy and the rusted frame was toast. He also thought the odo was messed with.

Replaced my front diff bushings with DuroBumps along with the front LCA bumpstops. Also put my savage spare tire gas can holder along with 3gal rotopax. And Raingler ceiling net.

I drove mine for the first time in about a month! I swapped both diffs in to put an E-locker in. I also rebuilt the CV's and put Tundra 231 brakes on. It's like a new truck!

Just happy to have her back on the road.
