I know this will probably be deleted but i dont have privileges to start a new post yet. This does follow under what this post topic is about. Ive had this 96 4runner 4x4 for about a year only thing i had changed was valve cover gaskets and coil packs, plugs and wires. About a month ago went to leave work and it died on me coming down a parking garage. Went to start back up and nothing. Thought it may not be getting fuel so changed the fuel filter in the right there. I got it to start by pumping the gas pedal but it wont idle and is running really rough even when holding the gas pedal to about 2000 rpms. Had it towed home. Though maybe the fuel pump wasnt sending enough fuel so i dropped the tank an replaced that, same thing. I let it set and started driving my wifes buick until this week coming home from work her motor blew. Now we have no running vehicles and monday is fast approaching. !!!Please bear woth me an keep reading i need gelp getting this running!!!! Had 2 buddys look at the runner and say it was acting out of time. When starting by holding gas down it will run while holding gas sputter/backfire and shot air back out the intake. That began my work friday. I already had a timing belt kit so i started friday and finished yesterday with timing belt, waterpump, crankshaft seals, camshaft seals and pulleys. Got all on tdc put back together went to start up.....same thing. Heard a continuous clicking noise with just the key on coming from around the throttle body, found it was the iac valve. So i ran and bought that last night thinking man i found the problem. Changed that last night and running the same. Also cleaned the throttle body good, pulled all plugs and made sure they were all firing. After all that inthe past two days it is still running rough, not idleing and dies as soon as you let off the gas please please help me i need to get this thing going by monday
