Well not today, but over the weekend I welded up the eimkeith rear bumper. Final product is awesome. No comment on modding/fitment though lol. Heavy, 113 pounds all welded up. Massive clearance. Smashed my pinky and broke my nose (not due to the bumper lol). 23.5 hours from start to finish not including the f-150 tank crossmember. Already received a ton of "that's awesome" complements.

as far as placement of the main hole, it was perfect. the bottom 2 bolt holes lined up perfect, the only one that was slightly off was the top hole on the template which needed to be moved slightly down and back to be perfect. maybe 1/8" off. I went 1 size larger on all 3 bolt holes and it went on flawlessly

Installed mine specifically for the dry, dusty, sandy environment.
Deserts get monsoons and flooding. I lived in Vegas for 5 years and depending on what part of town you lived in, a snorkel would be necessary if you had the vehicle to cross the temporary river.

It sounds like you are not aware of the full benefits of a snorkel.
As you had mentioned, it has merit for water crossings to mitigate the chance of introducing water. However, the benefit does not stop there. Air being drawn from where the snorkel inlet is located (typically at the roof-line) is marginally cooler, but more importantly, much cleaner than air being drawn from the engine bay. In very hot and dry climates with high levels of dirt (think middle east, S. Asia), you will notice a lot of vehicles running them there for this exact reason. They will hardly ever cross water, but the cleaner air being drawn in lends more service life of the engine.

Full Curt roof rack
I made a custom(kinda) roof rack using a curt rack with 2 extensions. It turned out great. I took about 5 inches out of the middle to make it a little shorter, and cut open the middle for the sunroof. Turned out great!

You've inspired my snark-gland too. See those 4 big black rubber things on the rig? They will take your rig to the mountains, deserts, forests, and the ocean; sometimes all in one day.
You do bring up a good point though. In Arizona they have what they call a "Stupid Driver Law" to bill drivers who try to cross a raging gully washer when they and their car/truck gets swept downstream and have to be rescued. It happens all the time. I have a feeling those with a snorkel installed are too smart to attempt that kind of thing.

I just replaced my front and rear shocks with bilstein 4600s I love the way it rides , stock springs front and rear. My 2014 tundra trd 4x4 came with the 4600s on it and they were great for daily driving and light off road use, that's why I went that route on the 4runner. Honestly much more stable and predictable than the worn out OEM I replaced. Whole set was like $200

I just enjoyed driving mine to work today! Some long, hot days were put in over the summer to get the maintenance up to date, now I can enjoy the nice late summer/early fall weather.
