Changed the dash gauge temp sensor
My 99 2.7L dash gauge took forever to climb up since I bought it. I knew it was warming up because my heater would blow warm after just a few minutes of driving. Bought a new sensor from AutoZone part # TU179. It takes a 12MM deep socket with an extension. I was concerned about losing some coolant when removed, but I kept the cap on and not a drop came out. A light coating of Loctite 518 is all it takes and started it by hand to make sure no crossed threads. No leaks and temp gauge started to come up after just a few minutes of idling. Same as my 2000 does. Man, I wish every fix was as easy as this.

A few days ago I finally got almost all the parts I've been wanting to put on the front end put on. Got my Kings put on. New CV axles from CVJ. New sway bar end links from Overland Custom Design. New OEM tie rods. Got the strut tower reinforcement from Eimkeith welded on. I'm just waiting on some reinforced lower control arms then it should be done for a while.
Then today I got this junkyard ABS pump and installed it. It fixed my brake pedal to the floor issue. As soon as I got it installed I started it up and noticed a immediate difference before I even bled it. Bled it and it's a lot better then before. ABS light wasn't on and I never had any codes telling me it was bad. I think tomorrow I might tear the old one apart and see if I notice anything bad.

That's like the exact plan I have when I have more money lol.
I got the overland customs design end links for now.
How's the kings? Are they 600 lbs spring or the 650?
As far as JBAs, keep us posted since I saw some complain the boots or something rip/corrode? But idk if u have the latest design
So far the Kings are nice. I had a spacer lift before from the previous owner so these are a big upgrade.
If you look at my JBA boots you can see they're cracking. They're torn on my other side. I emailed them the beginning of March about it and they are aware of it and are making new pleated poly boots. They said they'd be ready in a few weeks so they should be shipping them out anytime now.

Today on the way to work at 5:10 AM, Roscoe turned over 300,000 miles.
I wish I had put all those miles on. Only 70,000 are mine. Would've liked to got him new. He'd be in much better shape. 1st vehicle to break 300.
I also have a 99 RAV with 257,000. It got too small.....
