Why shitty? My duralast has held up better than any of them, and it has a lifetime warranty.
Side note, if you strengthen that cv much more your weak link becomes the center clamshell.... I'd rather buy a $60 cv over an $600++ clamshell any day!

Adding some CBI ditch brackets soon with hyperspots on them but I realized I don't have any place to put the switch. I have some sheets of ABS plastic laying around and I was thinking about making a switch panel that will fit where the useless cubby under the HVAC controls will go. Has anyone made a switch panel for that area? I know I'll likely have to cut some stuff behind the cubby to make the switches fit. Anyone?
On a stock car I would have no problem using them. I have just seen a lot of people who are lifted/wheel brake them pretty frequently. CVJ is also just a remanufactured CV, but with all OEM like components. It's still the weak link, but not as weak I guess. I would get OEM Toyota, but they are $350 vs $150 for a CVJ.
I am definitely not going full aftermarket/stronger. I 100% agree I want the CV as the weak link, not the diff or transfer case.
I was thinking rcv, my bad. For a lifetime warranty, I'll run the duralast into the ground. I'm harder than most and haven't broke one yet...

I ordered some too, and they double charged me and I ordered only 1 set. Not too happy about that, probably won't be ordering anything else from them

Replaced the rear wiper with an OEM replacement NAPA blade, so much nicer. Night and Day difference :thumb3:

Nothing special bypassed the TPMS and reset the zero for the TCS. It's been months since we started it and didnt have any dash lights come on man it feels almost new again

Bought some replacements on the Rock Auto clearance, but now I have to figure out how to do it. Actually the whole arm looks bad, should replace the whole thing.

One of mine just started leaking 3 weeks ago. Took it into the auto zone store and gave them both, figured the other one was not to far from tearing as well, and they replaced both. No questions asked.

Swapped to a color-keyed grille. I think it looks much better than the chrome it had

Did the 04's sport editions have the chrome grille from the factory? I didn't think they did. Previous owner must have added it.

Mine sure didn't. Mine was color-keyed from the factory. Perhaps it was from a Limited that was installed by the PO that really liked chrome plating?

No, the dealer put it on for bling factor along with the chrome rear garnish (which I don't mind the look of)

Finally had bonding time with the heat gun and the 4Runner. You really can't appreciate how much freakin cladding there is until you do this.
