Yeah that seems to be the route everyone has taken. I like the comfort of the xreas myself and my gf was worried about how it would ride if i got rid of them. Not that its her call but i like to keep her happy haha
Can anyone say from experience if FJ coils and the daystar spacers would actually even fit on the front xreas???
I'm prob doing the bilsteins at this point but i'm still curious

I daily drive mine, I went from stock to fj coils, 5100's and daystar in the rear and drove it the next day and didnt notice a decrease in ride quality. If you were closer Id say come for a ride in mine and see how you like it.

Welcome to the forums! Sorry to hear about the Jeep, but glad nobody was hurt at least. As for the vehicle shopping afterward, I went through a similar experience while looking for my 4Runner. I grew up around Jeeps and have a lot of friends and family with them, but it never felt right to me. I drove a 4th gen 4Runner for the first time and loved it. Knowing Toyota's reputation, I decided that's what I wanted, and since my daily drivers are Volkswagens and Audis, I figured it would be good to have a reliable backup...
So when I found a great deal on my '03 Sport Edition V8 4WD that was close to me with under 100k miles, I jumped on it. You'll be very happy with it, I'm sure.

Finally installed my Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer kit this weekend. It's been sitting on my workbench for ~ 9 months, along with a full suspension (non-Bilstein) from an '09 FJ that I picked up near the end of the summer.
I decided to skip the FJ parts for now, since I don't need the extra height. I wanted to see how the ride feel/height turned out with just the Daystar, since this is the first lift I've ever done. I'm very happy with it as it is now, so I'll be saving the FJ parts for when my XREAS finally goes. That may be sooner than I originally thought, based on the condition of my rear shocks at the moment... :/
Almost two months ago, I changed my mind about doing 17" six-spoke FJ wheels, and instead I picked up a set of 17" 5th Gen SR5 wheels from a fellow forum member here that is pretty local to me - thanks again, PGRunner!
The truck is currently on the lift at my local Merchant's Tire getting my new wheels and tires installed by a friend, along with an alignment, of course. I decided on Pirelli Scorpion ATRs, P265/70R17. Now I can't wait for this snow we're supposed to be getting this week around here.
I'll post pics tonight/tomorrow when I get a chance, so look for the build thread; I think it's finally time to start one!

I highly recommend removing xreas. The bilsteins ride very well!
I got rid of mine at 30k.... It started rusting out haha
This is pretty much EXACTLY what I found on my '03 when I installed my DS this weekend. My rear shocks are trashed at 104,000 miles. I've got a set of FJ shocks and coils sitting on the workbench that I may throw on sooner than I thought. Considering the Bilsteins as well, I like the adjustability without having to do coilovers, which are overkill for my needs.

They bolt on to the two top fender bolts and then to the hood hinge bracket. When I get the truck back tonight im going to get more pictures of how they mount. Ill put the pics in my build and ill build a new thread to showcase them for Nathan.

That would be much appreciated. Are they sturdy enough to support a 6" heavy KC style light? I really want to run my HIDs up there instead of LEDs.

I pulled my friend out of a mudhole after he broke his rear diff.
Guess F-150s can't hang
wheres the full on flat ground photos of yours.
you will like them, mine have been solid. Just find a good person to weld them on for you.

yeah you could. The lights would be really big though. The brackets are really sleek and look awesome with the leds
