What did you do with your 4runner today?

Well, not just today but over the last couple of weeks. Yet I finished the other day.
Purchased a pair of OME 2" heavier rate rear coils for the rear. 100% awesome. Took the daystar 1.5" spacers out of the rear and couldnt throw them suckers far enough away from me.
Then I raised the front Bilsteins to their max height adjustment. Again another awesome process. Set the toe and took her out for one of my faster technical WRC type of test track up in the base of the Las Vegas foothills. I found a perfect little test track. I used up the wheel travel nicely without slamming the bump stops. Front and rear this thing of beauty came to life. The extra spring rate in the rear really helped the overall handling and the weight transfer under hard acceleration and tight corners. And lets not forget some of the little rollers in the track I was able to roll across the tops, whereas before I couldnt even think about it, even with the Bilsteins front and rear.
Adjusting the fronts to the highest position was a no brainer. The little extra lift in addition to the slightly added preload on the front coils really woke this thing up.
Lastly; the on road ride with this new chassis package fells 100% better. Much less body roll and the Toyota sway from side to side at freeway speeds and spirited on road driving.
Thanks for reading. I will be back when I continue to add wheel spacers next, then under armor.
See ya!

Got any side shoots with the rear coils? Im trying to wait to lift the rear until I can get proper coils. I know Daystar would be the easy route but that is never the correct route. Does the rear still compress all the way when articulated? Right now I have my 5100s at 2.5 in front and stock in rear.

Hello Jackson. I did see witness marks on the rear housing indicating the rear coils used all compression travel. Also like I mentioned, when I did use all wheel travel front and rear, each time it was landing softly on the stops. I'm sure there will be those times when one has that "oh shit" moment when that big one sneaks up on ya. My goal obviously was to not treat this like a trophy truck or Robby Gordon ' s DAKAR Hummer. I did take a few pics. Will get those up soon. I will say, the rear sits a bit higher than the front. But remember, it was only me and no gear. With passengers and gear I believe I have found a perfect combination. With the body lines and the bit higher rear, it does look sporty and not boring.

Also I quickly wanted to say. On the little speedy tight twisty course this thing got busy. And fun. Now if only I could alter the crappy electronic assist with the brakes I could be quicker and smoother.

Finished install of Yellow Winjet fog lights, 6" LED work lights, and the biggie, hidden Engo E10000S.

changed my oil! After dealing with PITA dodges, chevys, and audis, I have to say Toyota made it easy. 10-15minutes, bingo bango bongo. doneskies.

You must have a V6.

Did Toyota decide to hide the V8 filter in the dirty nether regions of the engine compartment?

The first time I popped the hood and saw that perty little filter sitting right by the fan shroud, I think I did the happy dance. No more torquing my arm in past the passenger side wheel well into a space that a filter wrench wouldnt fit, no sir. :thumb3:

they may not be remote resi's, but for less than $300, I'm pretty excited
edit:sorry holy huge picture
